Gabby, I haven't finished the series yet but none of the books I have read have a bad ending. Not that I remember anyway.

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairytale too :) I get so excited every time a new retelling is written! The premise for Cruel Beauty sounds so interesting! I hope it turns out to be a really good one.
You're going to love Siege and Storm, it's so good. I can't wait for Ruin and Rising!
I'm enjoying the Kate Daniels series a lot. Anytime Curran & Kate are together it's hilarious. This author's Edge series is another good one.

Maybe it's cause I believe book 15 is the series coming to an end. I have yet to read that one.
