and I'm totally disappointed so far. I'm about 15% in and the writing just isn't good. The tense is all over the place. I can't believe William Morrow published it like this? I'm totally confused! I will give it to 25% and then drop it. The insta-love crap is more annoying than anything else.

The MC was just totally annoying and none of the characters, except maybe Bree, were realistic or relatable at all. I also found it poorly edited, a huge pet peeve of mine. So I'll quit before I get too annoyed. and If someone would kindly let me know what the controversy was, I'd be happy to hear it. I think I'll go read the spoiler reviews. Also, at least for the 20% I read, this book was beautiful disaster with a love triangle.

Someone posted a scene from about 60% into the book, the writing and interactions don't get better, so it's just not for me. I'll pass on this one for sure. Now I feel sad, though, b/c I had heard such great things about the author. Not sure if maybe I should give another one of her books a try.

Okay I finished
and was not what I expected. I'm not really sure what I was expecting. I went into it without reading reviews or anything, didn't want anything ruining it for me since I'd been wanting to read this one for so so long. I liked it. Not as much as I thought I would, but still a very good read. I loved so many things about this book and disliked so many others. My biggest issue being the disparity between the first and second halves of the story. Almost felt as if it was two different stories at times. But I did enjoy it for the most part. Now I'm back to
so I can finish this one up.

I loved the premise and the cover and the title and the first few chapters. It was just the characters, they irritated me mostly. And the plot, it went nowhere basically. But it fed my imagination and the crazy vampire was a freaking hoot LOL!

It's about 50-50 on here with what readers thought of how she handled this story, but I'll tell you this-I've had probably 3X the 'likes' for my scathing review of this book as I have for any of my other 700 reviews. That says a lot, as far as I'm concerned.

I just finished
it was really good for a novella the sex scenes didn't feel like they were forced or even that there we too many the story developed well I enjoyed it a lot. Which for me is surprising since I don't typically enjoy such short books. I'm debating if I want to go back to Jaz series or maybe do Maze Runners or something else. I think I'll go do some of the chores I've been neglecting to read and maybe that will help me decide.
