What Are You Reading? 2015

It's not a trilogy?

Nope - six, possibly seven

Ash, thanks for the explanation. I'm one of those people who gets attached to the main characters and want more of them. I generally avoid books with so many storylines and I know that it'll all get tied together at the end. I don't mind side characters but I don't necessarily need their POV.
I like new characters like Rowan but I don't care much for the witches or the healer so far. I will keep reading:)

All of the POVs are really important to the story line.

It's set for a total of 7 books right now (with the novellas).

I think the witches will be very important in future books. I enjoyed this POV enough, but I had a bit of a harder time with it b/c it wasn't giving me what I needed in regards to being important to this story line. But I guess she had to introduce them somewhere

I am halfway finished reading
and I'm on the fence with it. Actually, it seems every book I have read lately I have been on the fence.
Is this one yours Brooke?

Nope, not one of mine. Never heard of this one.

For the challenge it's from Erin.

That's exactly how I felt about the witches storyLine too Brooke. I didn't love it but enjoyed it enough and found it somewhat interesting especially knowing that all of it will be important to the overall story in the future books.

Oh thanks Rebecca I'll add it to my TBR :)

I'll probably try and read this one for our Mod RC too Tracy. I've been sort of debating whether to read it or not for a while so I figure our RC would be the right opportunity. This is one that has a lot of mixed feelings.

And we're only on book 3, sigh. We have a long way to go so there's going to be lots of waiting.

Sorry you didn't love it Danielle. It's one of my top favorites. I totally loved this story.

I am straddling the fence Belkis. The story would be very dramatic and overemphasized situations made it unbelievable for me sometimes. I think I have to think on this one before reviewing.

Its pretty good, I would recommend giving it a try but I can definitely see why there are mixed feelings. It reminds me a lot of Ashton and Beau from The Vincent Boys.

Oh thanks Rebecca I'll add it to my TBR :)"
I think you would like this one, Belkis. Its short though, so keep that in mind. Almost short enough to qualify as a novella. I generally think of novellas as 150 pg or less. Breeder is 200.

I can see why you think t about Bully Rebecca. It kind of is. It's just for me it was really over he top at times with the back and forth.

I did find Jared's behaviour to not make sense at times. His reasoning didn't seem to be enough for his ridiculous behaviour.

I REALLY liked Bully. And

LOVE LOVE LOVE SGT! Such a wonderful story.

I agree that Jared's behavior didn't make sense at all from an adult perspective, however I did think it seemed consistent with his characterization as a troubled teen.

Love the Throne of Glass series so much! There's a lot of talk about it in this post, LOL!

I haven't, danielle. But it looks good. Of course I added it!!

Between these I guess.

Well, I sure loved it. And Erin and Belkis. It was one of those rare gems I saw on amazon a couple years ago for maybe $1. It looked promising, so I downloaded it and was brought to my knees.

I preferred the second book, actually. I didn't think the first was really a cliff hanger. It actually took me almost two years to read the second book!

That's okay Rebecca short ones are nice every once in a while. I've read lots of great stories that have been 200 pages or less. I'll be adding this one to my TBR for sure since I do enjoy both scifi & smexy reads ;)

I really liked it too. It's not in my top 5 but it was really good. Made me cry but also had perfect HEA.

Finished The Jewel finally. It was eh. The storyline was interesting, though there were some inconsistencies. The writing seemed a little young for the subject. And then the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger, which I wasn't really happy about

Really? You're the first person to say that! I guess it's all a matter of preference though!
The reason for the extra POVs is that the story is getting bigger...it's not just in the castle anymore, it's all over Erilea and Wendlyn so and we need those extra POVs to keep us in the loop
Personally I really enjoyed getting to see some of the other places in the ToG world and meeting new characters, I can't wait to see how Maas brings all these different plots together
