Teresa | 606 comments A few people mentioned a book here, I can't remember the name though. It was by the same author who wrote These Broken Stars (Starbound, #1) by Amie Kaufman or maybe just a book that was similar? Anyway, if anyone knows which book I'm talking about let me know the title.

Was it Under Different Stars (Kricket, #1) by Amy A. Bartol or Alienated (Alienated, #1) by Melissa Landers

Very much hating you right now!! haha....I re-read both after reading The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass, #0.1-0.5) by Sarah J. Maas earlier this month (I was trying to wait until as close as possible until HoF so I didn't go crazy after reading it lol) turns out - I went crazy haha....I am pretty much just dying from anticipation!!

message 8159: by Ashlee (new)

Ashlee | 309 comments I'm finally reading Ruin and Rising (The Grisha, #3) by Leigh Bardugo about halfway through. God, I forgot how boring Mal was!! Once again it astounds me how there could be so much sexual tension between the heroine and the villain and absolutely ZIP between the heroine and the main love interest!! It's the only thing that lets this otherwise brilliant series down.

I'll probably start one these audios next The Promise (Thunder Point, #5) by Robyn Carr Supernaturally (Paranormalcy, #2) by Kiersten White Lead (Stage Dive, #3) by Kylie Scott Emerald Green (Precious Stone Trilogy, #3) by Kerstin Gier All He Ever Dreamed (Kowalski Family, #6) by Shannon Stacey not sure which one yet.

I'm reading Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon right now but plan on getting to that book next. I remember that a few people raved about it so I know it will be good. I swear I get most of my ideas about what to read next from this thread.

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments Well I finally made my way through Come to Me Softly (Closer to You, #2) by A.L. Jackson It was a struggle with both narrators really sounding so emotionless But I didnt buy the ebook and just the audio so ... Anyways it ended up being a decent story. I give 3.5 I kinda enjoyed it more so than the first book.

Now Im listening to Sempre (Forever, #1) by J.M. Darhower and Ive zoned out a few times ... Im about 2 hrs in so this might be a skip for now ...

I've enjoyed all of A.L. Jackson's books (I've re-read Take This Regret so many times LOL!) but this last story just didn't cut it for me. The first book Come To Me Quietly, was sort of meh so I didn't plan on picking up this second one. I'll have to hold out until she write a whole new story. I can't wait until she releases her planned followup story for the characters of Take This Regret!!

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Okay I decided to start listening to The Promise (Thunder Point, #5) by Robyn Carr lately I've been on this contemporary-small town-family-romance kick. I guess they're soothing, light, feel good reads that fit nicely into my chaotic workdays :) they're also pretty good series. So far I'm really enjoying Thunder Point by Robyn Carr & The Kowalskis by Shannon Stacey. I also read and loved The Hathaways series by Lisa Kleypas I've also started The Sullivans by Bella Andre and planning on starting Virgin River by Robyn Carr, The Travises by Lisa Kleypas, Fools Gold by Susan Mallery and Lucky Harbor by Jill Shalvis. I've had all of these series sitting in my library forever so I'm happy that I'm finally able to gt to them since they're all available in audio! I'm thoroughly enjoying them :D

I really want to get to. Johns I saw the spark of who he might get into in V's book. Ugh but to get to Johns I have to get through Phury's and I just am not sure if I have the patience to do it....

Andrea: BookStoreFinds (bookstorefinds) | 91 comments I just finished reading Black Heart (Curse Workers, #3) by Holly Black and it ending quite good. I love Holly Black. I'm also reading The Magician's Nephew (Chronicles of Narnia, #6) by C.S. Lewis with my Son, one chapter a night. And i'm strating If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman tonight.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments I finished The Mighty Storm (The Storm, #1) by Samantha Towle it was good and like a train wreck at the same time. I totally knew Will was just going to show up the entire time I read I felt like there was a knife swaying above the book ready to drop at any moment lol. I'm debating what to read right now, I'm thinking about doing Lick (Stage Dive, #1) by Kylie Scott or going with a book from the challenge, but idk if I can shift gears just yet cause I was thinking about doing The Sweet Gum Tree by Katherine Allred but not entirely sure I can do it, I mean TMS got me a bit emotional, but I know that TSGT is a totally emotional book, so I'm just not sure.....ugh.

I am actually the same way believe it or not, but the sad problem is that not a lot of books out there don't change leads. So I've come to accept it and move on and read them. A great example is the book Rule (Marked Men) each book changes the main characters but what's so great is I still know what is going on with all the other characters in the group, so I'm not missing out, the same can be said for BDB. Because it's all about them finding their love interest. Same with the Until series, those change characters with all the brothers finding a love interest, seems like all of KA books do that. But there are a handful I've read that don't, Thoughtless series, Charley Davidson, Kate Daniels, Edge of Never, crap can't remember the series name but the vampire trilogy by Suzanne Wright who does THE BEST werewolf books - but those change characters, her vamp series does not. Chicagoland Vamps don't change. It seems like contemp romance generally changes characters and UF does not.
