Couldn't have said it better myself, my dear! I'm not afraid to admit I get completely invested to the point of obsession for my favorites, which means my emotions go with the story. That's what makes a truly incredible read, IMO.

Bridget | 1517 comments Ok, so I started listening to Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi a couple days ago. I am close to halfway through it. Don't get me wrong, I am LOVING this book, but does Aria get any better? I mean, she just seems to question and whine over everything Perry says! I know she grew up in a totally different world, but oh my gosh, I just want to shake her and tell her to shut up and listen to Perry!! Please tell me she gets over herself soon!!

Thanks babe! We go crazy with our books and I don't care. It is what makes the best stories...the more emotional we are, the better the book. :)

Yes, she gets way better. By the middle of the second book you'll love her. I didn't love this book at the beginning, mostly because I found it a bit confusing but then by the end of it I really liked it a lot and each book is better than the one before it and Aria winds up totally rocking.

message 7259: by Teresa (new)

Teresa | 606 comments Just finished Don't Let Go by Sharla Lovelace . Thanks Annie for recommending it to us all. I got up to chapter 3 yesterday and finished it this afternoon. It was so heartbreaking, then heartwarming. I'm always a slobbering crying fool when I read emotional books. Last one that did it to me before this one was The Book Thief by Markus Zusak which I read like a month ago. I'm still not over it.

Oh yeah. Definitely a 5 star read for me. I loved everything about it. Except that it made me cry! Lol. But it was worth it:)

Annie Brewer (anniebrewer) | 2351 comments Oh yay! So glad you ladies enjoyed it! Makes me happy when we all cry and love the same books! Another good one is Not Yet by Laura Ward . Another favorite book of mine from this year. I got an ARC from the author two weeks ago, and it just released this week. Go check it out! It's wonderful! :)

I had given it a 5 but then started thinking so I dropped it to a 4. I feel it was a little rushed, almost like Jordan wasn't sure where it should go. I hate that I had issues with it. It just wasn't as in depth with character development as the first two. Especially with the male character. I'll think on it a bit more before I write my review.

Yeah Bridget, I feel you and yes Aria is a bit annoying in the first part of book 1, but she grows, evolves, and matures as the story progresses and you'll come to love and appreciate her, promise. Initially you find yourself wanting to smack her upside the head a few times LOL! But then you come to enjoy the fact that she brings you along on this amazing journey as you see her actually grow into herself throughout the story and it feels even more real. Hope you end up enjoying the trilogy, it's one of my all time favorites.

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Okay so I finished Seduce Me at Sunrise (The Hathaways, #2) by Lisa Kleypas which I really enjoyed. It was just as good if not a tad more emotional than the first one. Loving The Hathaways series so will definitely be continuing with the rest of the books. I'm a third of the way done with Don't Let Go by Sharla Lovelace and talk about a kick in the heart! I'M LOVING IT!! Hate that I can't take off work to just sit and read it :( and my free time is virtually nonexistent with summer vacation *sigh* but will find time to finish it asap. Next up for me Passion and Ponies (Chocoholics, #2) by Tara Sivec for some lightness (to break up all the emotional heavy reads) and Sapphire Blue (Precious Stone Trilogy, #2) by Kerstin Gier because I need to know what happens next!

Tiana411 | 701 comments Just finished Innocents (Dusty, #1) by Mary Elizabeth . I'm not sure if I really like it or hate it. It's not often that I don't like a book boy but this one was it. Drugs, sex and alcohol with out protagonist being a doormat was an issue for me. It also ended abruptly so I gotta wait till the fall. I'm hoping the idiot doesn't get the girl, or the girl pulls her head out of her ass and opens her eyes.
Anyone else in our group read this?

Darrell | 14 comments Hello Everyone, My name is Darrell. I like to read when I find the time. And lately my interest has been in the young adult books. I just have a question for some of you.
I am wondering what book should I read next. I just finished the Percy Jackson series.
I have a few books I have been looking at. My choices are The Giver by Lois Lowry, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, The Hundred-foot Journey by Richard C. Morais (thinking about this one, looks to be lol), If I Stay by Gayle Forman, The Maze Runner by James Dashner, Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens, the 8th book in the house of night series or try to finish the last harry potter book or the last clan of the cave bear book. Let me know which one you choose or if you have a better book I should start with, open to new things.
And not to sure yet on how to get the books to go in my post. I will have it soon. I hope lol

I'd go with If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman first off its a very emotional book, but it's also going to be a movie, I just saw the trailer for the first time a couple hours ago. But it's definitely a good read.

I was not a fan of Gone Girl, it was just twisted. The movie for the 100 foot journey looks good, so the book is probably a good bet :) But I have heard excellent things about Maze Runner (as Tracy can obviously vouch to)

UGH! You know Tiana, I bought this one because some of the readers were raving about it. I planned on reading it soonish, but if it ends abruptly and we're going to have to wait on book 2 then I'll just wait.
