Almost done with it Tracy and it's very good. Really interesting paranormal creatures and the story is quite interesting. Loving Evie's snarky comments and Lend is such a cool creature :)

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Hoping I can finish Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White tonight. I don't have much left to go. Then hopefully I can start The Shadow Throne (The Ascendance Trilogy, #3) by Jennifer A. Nielsen tomorrow. Really want to know how this trilogy wraps up.

I haven't had much reading time this month either Bridget. Spending most of my free time with my daughter over summer vacation :)

I have read a couple of her books and for the most part they are on the younger side of YA as far as the writing goes. Some of the content in Perfect Chemistry is more advanced but in Leaving Paradise it was really young, in my opinion.

Same here, Belkis. My kids go back to school in about 3 weeks, so we've been squeezing in some last minute fun stuff. I'm wanting to start something, but just sitting here staring at my tbr waiting for something to jump out at me. The worst part is deciding what to start.

Do you have a kindle? Is that what you are trying to decide from. OK so you turn on your kindle and close your eyes then you turn the page a couple of times and scroll down a couple of times and his the enter or whatever it is button and viola you have a book.

Haha, Tracy. My kids are still little so they depend on me to entertain them. I'm kind of waiting for the day they can go do things themselves. Or at least for one of them to get old enough to drive.

WHOO HOO driving. Yeah that's the good times. Your insurance rates go up, they have a fender bender cause they dropped their phone and take out a mailbox because they are texting and driving. Oh...sorry that was my kid.

I'm not loving the writing, to be honest. The dialogue isn't bad but the descriptive parts leave something to be desired. The content is more mature YA, but the writing does not reflect that for me.

Also, we've posted a new buddy read for Willing Captive by Belle Aurora to be started over this weekend if anyone is interested and wants to join in.

Mello ❣ Illium ✮Harry✮ ☀Myrnin☀ Torin Ichimaru | 257 comments I have that book, Belkis. Maybe I'll finally read it.

I finished The Release (Virulent, #1) by Shelbi Wescott on the way in to work this morning. I liked it, but wasn't blown away. I'll probably read the rest of the series to find out why what happened, happened, just not right away.

I think I'm starting Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy, #1) by Danielle L. Jensen next.
