Yeah Stacie, I think that's one of the reasons why I'm a bit reluctant to read short books, unless they're novellas for existing trilogies or series. Because most of the time there isn't enough length in them to allow for character development and such so we can't really get invested in the story. However, there are some exceptions that I've found; like was fantastic at 150 pages. But then again, it is Samantha Young :) Also Cynthia Eden writes some shorts that are nice. I've read 2 or 3 of them and I liked them and another short PNR that I really enjoyed which is by another author whose writing I truly enjoy Heather Killough-Walden.

Just got because I'm in a total paranormal book slump I've read a few 'good' pr books but nothing great so I'm returning to the kresley cole immortals after dark series which I haven't read in a while so I hope I don't have to go back and re read the last 7 books to remember where im at as I'm a terrible re-reader no matter how fantastic the book is I always find myself impatient and skimming pages lol

Very true… Have you read any of the Lord of the Underworld or Black Dagger Brotherhood. Both are "similar" to IAD (but I have to say, esp to you Belkis, that it has become one of my FAVORITE PNR series!)

Amy Harmon is another author that never disappoints and I'm so happy it's awesome and you loved it :) and I completely agree about Dominic, that book is a crazy hot mess! I still also need to read Still Life with Strings, way too many great reads to get to.

Yes Donna I'm super excited too. OMG is a fantastic story! It's intricate and has witches and vampires and intrigue and time travel AH it's awesome. It sort of reminds me a little of Elizabeth Hunter's writing because they're both great at details and deliciously layered characters. Check it out I'm sure you'll truly enjoy it.

She's great indeed Stacie :) have you read her YA PNR yet? You should check it out, it's AWESOME! these first 2 books in the trilogy are out and are both brilliant and then the last book is coming out January 2015. I highly recommend if you're looking for something very unique.

Oh goodness I finished very late last night/early this morning and it was awesome as every book so far in the Throne Of Glass series. Wonderful and sad all at the same time. Ripped my heart out. I'm planning on rereading ToG & CoM before HoF releases in September. Now reading need something a bit lighter after Assassin's Blade.

Amy Harmon has become a new favourite author for me, I'll have to pay closer attention to her book releases.
Dominic could've been really good but everyone in that story was violent and crazy.

Yes, read Elixir. Not only does it fill in gaps, it is what finally turned me to Team Aidan from Team Seth. Not that Seth was bad in it, but Aidan is absolutely amazing in it. :P

The third book is the best book so far in the series. Although I'm reading Fire Country now and can't believe how imaginative David is. I'm in awe. It's great!

I loved the Arcana Chronicles also. I didn't realize the 3rd was to be the last. I was soooo depressed I when I got done with #2 and realized how long I had to wait for the 3rd!
