Now that I'm done I'm unsure of what I want to read. Everything else will pale in comparison. Back to staring at my bookshelf.

I do still plan to read Grave Mercy but I think it was just I wasn't in a mood for fantasy.

Hun, that's how I was for years lol I re-read the first 2 books I don't know how many times … you should try her other standalone book
it's not as epic but still a good story hun

I just happened upon this one at the library so I got it. It is a very good one I think.

I have stopped reading the brothers for a minute although I do have Unleashed on my dresser. I don't want them to end!

I finished
because it has been on my TBR for over a year and I'm trying to clean that shelf up. Anyway, that is a really good story. Its different from anything I have read so far. I am going to start Until I Die after Ceaseless.

So far I have read one book that was on there two years and two for over a year and two for over six months so I'm not doing bad.

This one is on my TBR as well!
I got loads of YA books on my TBR, this would be a good year to clear it a bit!
Good to hear that it's a good book!

Oh Bridget,

Yeah that's totally possible. Happens to all of us. Best thing is to set it aside for a while and try it again at a later time and hopefully you'll feel differently about it then and enjoy it.

Absolutely agree Tracy. I'm aiming for a good cleanup year too. I've managed to read a few that have been on my TBR for over a year as well. And I too have to get back to book 2 of Die For Me. Read the first one a few days ago and really liked it. Our series YC is going to do wonders for our TBRs.

I'm also reviewing a self-published historical romance for a goodreads author called Verity's Lie, and actually, I am really enjoying it. Very good writing style that keeps me interested. It's not YA, but I do sway from the YA genre in my reading from time to time.
So there ya go! Happy reading!

That's it for me too Casey. I need to connect and get invested in the characters. If a story is lacking in character development I will not enjoy the book much.

Yay! Another Caden fan. I think she's planning to write a followup book for them :)

No, but there's a whole other issue now. And seeing as I kinda sorta know what to expect from this book I suspect it could be difficult for her and her mate. Will be interesting to see what happens. Belkis you've gotta read the series so it's like a PNR murder mysteries. Lol

honestly, I saw that so long ago it didn't even pass through my mind! LOL! But, yes, it's similar for sure.
I was not a fan of Requiem. The writing was great, I just didn't like how it was set up and how it flowed. I only gave that one a three. But I loved Pandemonium.

OMG SO Jealous of you LOL! The 28th can't get here soon enough. And the sad part is that I desperately want/NEED to read a few that release on that same day ;)

I know I know. Luckily for me I added this for my series challenge so it'll set me up well. Lol. I have 900 tbrs too (exaggeration of course lol)

Me too! I didn't like how Requiem ended. There just wasn't enough closure for me. I'm not a reader who likes open-endedness. I want the author to tell me!

It wasn't just the ending for me, which was VERY flat. I hated the dual POV. I thought it took away from the story IMO.

And I didn't care so much for the love triangle. It was tiring after a while.

I got enough of Hana's view in the novella. These books were about Lena, but that just ruined the flow for me. And, yes, the love triangle was annoying. And it was not well done at all. I'm not a fan of them, usually, they have to be done right. It seemed to be going in that direction, especially at the end of Pandemonium, but then she blew it in that last book. She did make a video explaining why she left it so open ended but, like you, I prefer a bit of closure. I almost feel an open ended book is just to please all the readers, rather than worrying about whether or not people will tear you apart for what you choose to do as an author.

Yes. I agree with all of that. I haven't read the novella. I just discovered her books last April, so I read all three one after the other with no waiting in between. That was kind of nice. I'm not a big fan of love triangles either. Bella, Edward, and Jacob kind if ruined that for me. Mostly because in my opinion, she picked the wrong guy. I was Team Jacob all the way. And while we're talking about finales, I didn't care for Breaking Dawn. It had plenty of closure; it just didn't feel like the first three books. She lost something of the beauty I'd fallen in love with in that last book. It was a disappointing end. Of course, that's a completely different topic.

Ahh...yes, Twilight. Don't get me started. I'm with you. I disliked Edward, a lot. I blasted through those books when I did read them, though. I can only remember how much I enjoyed her getting to know Jacob while Edward was out of the picture. I am an underdog fighter, and jacob was the underdog. I am glad he did get a bit of happiness at the end, though.

Yeah, it was a poor substitute for Bella, but the author did give him the next best thing, I suppose. Those books really drew me in, though. I could not put them down. At least the first three, when Bella's blood was still singing its symphony. :)

Oh YAY! Tonje, you LOVED it just like I did :) and YES! I'd love a second book.

I have to get back to Eve & Roarke Mello. I read the first one a few months ago and loved it. This is a series I really need to get back to but lordy there are sooo many books to this one LOL!

Totally LOL! I have a few of them. Although I'll admit that after reading the reviews on the audios of the series, lots of raving about the narrator, I decided to give the first one a try on audio and yes! Really good on audio. So of course now I want to continue them on audio hahahaha! Will definitely need to take it slow. There are like 38 books or something :P
