What Are You Reading? 2015

They were both good Belkis.
I'm in a blissful 'cloud nine' mode right now after
. This was the most beautiful, heart-wrenching love story I've read and I've had quite a few great ones on the list this year. This is a new favorite contemp romance for me, if you guys haven't picked up
yet, these two are both incredible reads and I can't recommend them strongly enough. Penelope's characters are all so real and have these awesome funny personalities, but then the stories just hit you right in the chest. Loved these!!

OMG you're KIDDING ME! WOW!! Brooke, I'm so honored you would do that, it means the world to me!! Harlequin did accept a manuscript of Brew, but they passed on it in the end. But still, that type of referral and mention can go a long one in the future. Name recognition is HUGE in this business and it means so much to me that you would mention me to someone like that :) THANK YOU!

You know, I'm kind of thinking the same thing. After I finish my two current series (LOL) I think I'm going to write a few standalones :)
Getting backlogged on my blog reviews, so I'm going to be speed-reading these over the next few days:
. On the bright side, they all look really good! =)

Oh David, that'd be great :) series and trilogies are wonderful but sometimes you just want to read 1 awesome book that tells a whole story from cover to cover and leaves you with a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. And standalones seem to be a rare thing lately.

Thanks Bridget, I'm planning on an exciting reading month :)

You know Erin, I have had Penelope Ward's Gemini books in my TBR for a while now and really want to get to them soon. Are they about 1 couple or different couples? Just don't want to start anything new that's going to leave me hanging on for the next one to come out or worse even, a cliffhanger LOL! As I finish off trilogies and series that thankfully have come to an end I'm starting new ones on their places so this would be a new one I'd love to start for sure :)

Oh Erin, these look good. Especially The Fall Of January Cooper. I've added all of these to my TBR but super excited over TFoJC! Will be reading that one soonish I think once it releases. Please keep us posted on how you like it when you're done reading it :)

It just made sense. If you read Drowned I'm sure you'll see it. Your writing style and Cyn's are very similar and if they would pick hers up, well, then they NEED to look at you, PERIOD! I will keep mentioning you whenever I can. I want people to read your books. As a matter of fact, I think I will be giving the series to my cousin this weekend. I want her to read it!

I am reading(and finishing) this book. Have you ever read a book where the idea was good and the plot was sort of good...But the writing and execution is just so awful.
Like it's a good story but horrible way of telling it.
This book has way too many characters(at east 30 have appeared) and they don't all need POVs. They just don't.
Love develops pretty much instantly.....Conflict is seemingly ended rather fast.
yet it's oddly enough keeping me entertained, if I am only hate reading.

I'm okay with sequels as long as they don't end in total cliffhangers. I hate those, it makes me feel like not reading anymore. There should be some sort of resolution in a book even if it's intended to be a sequel. But stand alones are really nice too. In

Yes. Whether it is a focal/main character or the random guy they just literally met who has to give his thoughts and opinions.
Never mind the fact the fact there are so many characters(with such extravagant and elaborate names and a plot that has way too many turns(not twists...literally so many characters in the book, it's not twists, it's just literally like reading 10 different stories at the same time) that it confuses me.
It's gotten to the point I am literally only focusing on the plot of the brothers and nothing else.

Oh I really liked These Broken..."
Oh, cliffies are my worst nightmare! Ugh, and everyone is doing it nowadays! Yeah, TBS gave what it could, those characters had nothing more to offer and I would have hated to see it dragged on with false drama. I would not say no to a little novella, though. :D

Yay! I totally LOVED These Broken Stars Ekaterine :) It's so great when we feel love for the same books! Hopefully we'll have a similar experience with Loving Mr. Daniels LOL!

Yes, me too :) perfectly said.

Oh my Micah, this book sounds really confusing.

I grabbed this one a few days ago. Think I will read it next.

I'm loving it Sara. The story is really well written and the characters are layered and deliciously developed and feel realistic not overly dramatic not full of fake/overdone angst. And a lot of the words and sentiments conveyed/expressed are raw and simple. Found another book for my Love shelf and a new author to crush over :) I hope you enjoy it.

I totally agree Ester, that's why I won't read Jennifer Armentrout until the whole series is out if I even do then. She is the worse!

Oh Tracy LOL! You have the best way with words, you sweet talker you :D
Okay so I finished listening to Deeper and Loved it. A 4 star read for me. Had some glorious 5 star moments throughout. No cliffhanger ending, but open ended for an obvious continuation of their story, which of course I'll be picking up as soon as it releases.

Oh Amanda, Shatter Me is one of my favorite trilogies. Awesome story and fantastic writing.

The characters cross over, but each book is a new couple. I didn't read the first book (Gemini) because I got a review request for Jake Undone, but I'm not sorry I skipped ahead. Jake Undone was awesome, and My Skylar, which has the young girl from JU all grown up with her heart-wrenching story/past, was just outstanding. Apparently the first was just good, so I don't know that I'd recommend starting there since it may turn you away from two absolutely unforgettable must-reads! lol

Ah, Bloodrose...reaaally didn't like it. Loved the first two, but this was a big disappointment. Then there's the whole Twilight-style love triangle decision that divided fans straight down the middle. Hope you like it more than a lot of us did!

Yeah, me too. None of my friends are big readers and my husband can only take so much of my ramblings. Coming here is such a relief. I can go on and on about charachters and books and you guys not gonna roll your eyes but fangirl with me. I love it. You keep me sane!
