SOLVED. Book about young girl finds magical tree with fruit that gives you butterfly wings [s]

This was a book I read about 9 years ago. The book mostly follows around
this young girl who discovers a magical tree in the woods where tons of
butterflies visit. She eats the fruit of the tree and develops the ability
to fly, eventually the wings disappear but the power of flight does not.

End of the novel involves the tree catching fire and the discovery that her
mother died trying to save the tree years before.

Hopefully this rings a bell for anyone what might have read it.
