This is one of my all time favorite Christopher Moore books. Growing up in a religious family, I always was curious what happened during the Jesus 'lost' years. Now I know - he was trained just like Batman!

Lori Monty Python already did their own version of Jesus' lost years back in the 80's but I agree, this is a great book and I love it.

Joseph Schwartz Fool has even more Pythonish humor, which makes sense because it was set in medieval England.

Jane Mackay I think Moore's writing definitely owes a debt to Monty Python.
