Guia (guialovescandy) | 6 comments This is actually my favourite book out of the three.

Stormy :) (Stormy0218) | 1043 comments Insurgent in my opinion suffers from second-book syndrome. While it was incredibly fast-paced, Tris' behavior was beyond irritating. She was going through symptoms of PTSD, I mean she saw her parents die in front of her, that's pretty intense, but her recklessness got old after awhile because she was inadvertently effecting Tobias. He truly cared for her and all she did was lie and push him away. It could be argued that Tobias was too hard on her, but he was hard on her for the reason of having her wake up and realize how stupid she's being. He thought she was tough enough to take it because is respect for her is incredibly high.

cindy ♡ I think insurgent was a good middle book. It is my least favorite out of the trilogy but I still love. I just felt that nothing extreme really happened. Everything just sorta went to the next thing and to the next. It was still a good book though :)

Stormy :) (Stormy0218) | 1043 comments It's still a very well written book, but I just couldn't give it 5 stars.

How can Insurgent be your least favorite with the what happened in Allegiant.

I agree with you here ,CasterGirl! XD

Iwantmorebooks | 11 comments This book wasn't my favorite, but I did enjoy it

cindy ♡ What happened in Allegiant, although it was sad, didn't affect how I thought of the book overall. I think Allegiant was great, and so was Insurgent.

Erin Vastag The first time I read this series, this was my least favorite of the three. But I just reread this one and divergent and I think I like this one better now. It's kind of weird. I think it has something to do with how I missed ALOT of things wheh I read insurgent the 1st time, so when I reread it, it was like I was reading it for the first time. If that makes any sense.

Noor Tello (nooralhuda_ht) At the beginning of this book I got kinda lost between amity and candor, but I still liked it. It was my least favourite, but the last third of it was pretty much thrilling, and it was my favourite part of the book. The end was a cliff-hanger to me and I had to wait all the way for allegiant to come out, so that was hard, obviously. I gave it 4 stars. For those who haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for?!?!?!

Tayler I'll be your family now.

Zhanaestilinski | 24 comments I feel like Insurgent is the strongest of the three because we've gotten past the set up and are able to dive into more world expansion (which is imo one of Allegiant's weaknesses).I like that the bad guys that we think we know are redefined and some light is shed on their darker parts. I know alot of people were upset with Tris's behavior--which was atrocious--in this book but looking back on it I didn't really expect anything less. She lost her family and was going through an awful phase of grief and loss and was jumping head long into dangerous situations and going behind her boyfriends back. My goodness I wanted to scream so loud but I had to do it all in my head because what even? What I found most interesting was how her and Four switched places attitude wise in this and the third book. I'm glad that she finally realized the true meaning of appropriate sacrifice--which is what Tobias was trying to get into her head all along in Insurgent--even though it was heartbreaking. The parts within Amity and Candor were my favorite because they were the funniest and weren't as heavy.

Another thing that I noticed (and I doubt anybody else would come to this conclusion because I thought of it the other night when I was half asleep...I'm not even sure if it makes sense) is that there is this weird Tris/Four and Marcus/Evelyn parallel going on. Like, as individuals they're all incredibly strong willed and smart but have their own secret agendas and maybe if Tris and Four hadn't worked out their differences at the end of Insurgent they might have ended up like Marcus and Evelyn--which is scary.

Ewa... | 80 comments When i finished Insurgent i thought that the summary should be DEPRESSED TRIS DOES SUICIDAL THINGS THAT DESTROY HER RELATIONSHIP WITH TOBIAS. It was a good read but the book just made me very upset b/c a lot of people died.

message 19: by Erin (new)

Erin Vastag @Ewa. I think this sums up what you think.

I just reread it and I liked it more this time. But I do think Tris was being stupid the whole book.

message 23: by Evelyn (new)

Evelyn Scott | 8 comments The book was certainly not the best one, but the things Tris did in the book, shaped and affected all her choices in the next book........
Tris needed all that pain and suffering in the book so she can realize the difference between right and wrong and get her life on track

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Insurgent was the best of all three so far (I have 78 pages to go in Allegiant so no spoilers!) anyway, I love the Divergent series so much! I never want to put the book down!

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm agree with you, insurgent is the best
