The Complete Sherlock Holmes
question
SHERLOCK BBC

Heard that the series has people discovering Doyle's work. There are book covers with Cumberbatch on them but Doyle's story inside.
The question is would you like it if the story was based on the BBC modern Cumberbatch script and not Doyle's work? Or a Holmes in modern times with Watson going to a black female shrink?

I'd like to read books based around BBC's Sherlock, sure! It is my favorite show, ever. But I do love the original Sherlock Holmes, quite a fair deal, so I would not replace one for the other.
I agree with Kiersten. I gave Sherlock a try when I was bored one day and skimming through Netflix. At first, I saw Benedict Cumberbatch and thought "No!" But as soon as he started talking, I was hooked. It by no means replaces Doyle's work, but it's a great show that respects the spirit of the original material. It's much better IMO than the Robert Downey Jr. movie versions. Ugh!
