I would love to see her puppets. I would also love to know her time management secrets. How does one juggle writing, audiobook narration, and puppetry?
To Mary:Clearly people like Jane Austen influence your books, but which writer do you count as an influence that would surprise us?
First of all, I love Mary. She always have something interesting to say about writing, about the industry or about anything else. I read her three novels last year and loved them, and I can't wait for the fourth.I have two questions :
-She always have great pitch for her novels and I would like to know if she had one for Of Noble Family, the fifth book of the serie.
-Mary has recently signed a three books deal one of the books being the fifth of the glamourist serie.
But I was wondering if she could tell us more about the two other books. More specifically what genre will they be? Will she continue writing historical fiction or will she switch to sf like her short stories?
Will you ask her to wear the regency dress she loaned to Scalzi so we can get a definitive answer on who looks better in it? http://whatever.scalzi.com/2013/07/16...
Will the questions be answered by puppetry?"How I beat Pat Rothfuss at being Pat Rothfuss" http://www.maryrobinettekowal.com/jou...
Do you miss posting for Sffaudio?
I'm really curious about the audiobook recording process. Clearly, when she's recording her own books, she already knows what she wants all of the voices to sound like, but what happens when she narrates someone else's audiobook? Is there discussion with the author before hand on the types of voices that he or she is looking for, or do they just trust that the narrator will make the best choices?
You have so many fun, creative outlets and professions. What is 'creativity' to you? Does it differ in each way you express it or are there common threads that show up in each medium?Nature our nurture - what makes you creative?
Which novel's world would you like to live in if you had a choice? (Not necessarily one of your novels.)
Any SF novels on the way? I know from your blog you have quite a few fantasy novels on the go but i loved Kiss Me Twice the SF novella.
