Adding a book without an ISBN number

I checked the first few pages of the discussion thread and I didn't notice this.

Is it possible to add a book to the site that doesn't have an ISBN number or barcode? They're by a local Pittsburgh author and I wanted to add them but I'm not sure how to go about it.

Yeah, it's possible and, furthermore, completely acceptable. Just simply leave the ISBN fields blank when you create a new book page.

So should I proceed to add it as a normal book but just omitting the ISBN information?

You can add a note stating "Before ISBN" or "No ISBN" when you do so.
