Just finished
and loved it! Gosh I'm hoping that there would be more books in the series, but it isn't listed here yetNow reading
and so far so fun
Arielle Rae, no info on her website either, but I did find out she lives in my State, NSW. Whoo hoo!!
I'm back from my vacation and finally have time to read again! I finished
which was really good and am now on
.
Kerstin, glad you liked Broken Blade, I preordered but haven't got to it yet. Hope you enjoyed your vacation :)Finished
last night, and gotta say the last part of the book was excellent. About 3/4 the way through
and it feels like a cliffhanger coming up. Luckily I've got the next one handy.
LOL *space porn* >;)I've got Carolyn Crane's RS series TBR. Loved her UF.
I gobbled up Kemmerer's Elemental series.
Read:
My favorite brothers are the twins - Michael is a close 2nd, if you count the twins as one. ;) And, try as I might, even after learning more about him in Spirit, I just don't care for Hunter. Glad I finished up in time for
, which drops on the 28th.Started listening to
with hubby on roadtrip. We got 63% in, but now it's on hold until we're able to listen together. We're both enjoying that one and will most likely continue on with the series at some point.I got an ARC of
(Yipppeeee!), so that's up next.
Steph, I really loved Carolyn Crane's 'Disillusionists' series as well; one of my favourites. And though RS isn't really my genre, I'm enjoying CC's take on it quite a bit. She writes such unique characters!
I'm steadily reading the Pride series
, now on
.Having some issues with the audio of
because some parts did not download to my phone correctly but otherwise an interesting tale.

Finished
in audio... Awesome!Back in the shifter mood and read
and zipped thru

Reading
@ Steph - Very jealous about your ARC
, very anxious for that one too... Happy Reading!

I love the Elemental series, Steph. I totally agree with you- the twins and Michael are great. Though I came to sympathize a bit with Hunter after reading Spirit.
does not contain that much Elemental action- its more about the problems faced by Nick and Quinn- though I liked very much still- hope you'll like it too!

Val, love the Prides'; Lis I've got Vegas Mates to read, what did you think of them? Also jealous of you getting the next Cady, Steph, I've preordered.
Finished
&
Sandra they were good quick reads. The first one was a freebie... Strong family packs, shifters finding their soul mates vs family arranged mating alliances and a scary governing Council in Europe... I liked them.
Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ wrote: "I read the first Vegas mate one too, I wished it was not a short because the story had potential."That was my feeling too... Wished they were full books.
Thanks, Preethi, I'm sure I will. Breathless only increased my interest in Nick's story. I'm loooooving Banishing the Dark! I had to make myself walk away from it this AM so I wouldn't finish it in record time. It was hard, but I've no doubt I won't be able to stop myself when I sit with it again tonight.
Glad you're enjoying the series as well, Kerstin. Each book is better than the one before it, IMO. But, they are all great reads. :D
Kerstin wrote: "Just started
and I'm really enjoying it so far."I love that series!
Steph - I'm so jealous that you already have
. So lucky...
Jean, it was SOOOOOO good. But, did you know it's the final book in the series? I didn't. I was super bummed. The series has done nothing but improve, but I guess it's nice (for an author) to go out on a high rather than milk a series to death (or past the point of death). Still, I'm holding out hope for a spin-off featuring Jupe! :DI grabbed the Mystic Wolves prequel freebie awhile ago and thought what a hard last name to have growing up.
I got on a Jaye Wells kick. Bought
and read
and
. Not sure what I'll start next. Banishing is a hard book to follow.

I have both of these on my TBR. What did you think Sandra?
Tracy, The Warlord Wants Forever was a re-read for me, and its just like a little taste of the Valkyries & one desperate Forbear Vampire (they don't drink from people). It's a good intro to the series. As to
I started it some time ago, got distracted, and finally got back to it. Now I'm kicking myself I waited that long. Beginning is a little slow, but the world building is good, and the H is a demon doctor. Loved it.
And Steph, so disappointed to hear Banishing is the final book in the series. There was plenty more to explore in that world :(That could be why she's brought out
and the 2nd one is already expected in June.

ok so no pics (sorry about that) , but this past week my current readingjust finished the complete set of The Morganville Vampires (15 books)
(I am missing Myrnin already)
Finally finished the Band of Brother series JR Ward. (12 books)
(took me ages to get hold of Lover Reborn)
tonight finished reading Lothaire Kresley Cole
Just started reading Biting Bad Chloe Neill
Sandra wrote: "And Steph, so disappointed to hear Banishing is the final book in the series. There was plenty more to explore in that world :("I was thinking the same (re: R20's). Still, I'm gonna miss not having a Cady, Lon & Jupe book to read each year. :(
Read:
DF was a disappointment. Maybe my hopes were too high after finishing (and loving) her Immortal Beloved series? Either way, I love feline shifters; I like the author's writing; and the ending left me wondering what was next, so I'll probably read the next book at some point.
DDB was good - better than I'd expected. It kinda felt like she could end the series there, but I'm not sure if it's the finale or not.
RR was such a good book. A must-read for dystopia fans!
Red Rising is getting a lot of praise all around.Finished a couple of Celia Kyle books
, some
and also
which luckily I got from the library.
It's very good, if you like that sorta book.I've got a bunch of Kyle's books TBR, including those you've listed above. Boring's as well. ;)
Whitney ended a bit abruptly, and even though it states a trilogy, there's plenty there to have more, and I think it needs it.
I don't like those whiplash endings. I just had one recently and they're a fail for me most of the time. Maybe she'll keep it going.
Yeah, I was debating between 3 & 4 stars cause of the ending, but I went with 4 and hope that she'll do more.
Steph wrote: "Jean, it was SOOOOOO good. But, did you know it's the final book in the series? I didn't. I was super bummed. The series has done nothing but improve, but I guess it's nice (for an author) to go..."I had heard a rumor about
being the final book. I had hoped it was a false rumor though... :( But I agree that I'd rather the series go out on a high note. Still though... I'm going to miss the series. :(
Definitely hard saying goodbye to Cady and gang!Read:
UftG, another finale, was well done. It was nice to see the whole gang back together again for one last mission.
I've read quite a few books already this year. Still working on
and
but they just aren't calling to me right now.So I ended up starting
because the sample got me interested.
Hi, Mello, welcome!I've got Dirty Magic TBR. I enjoyed her other series - Sabina Kane, so I'm hoping I'll like that one as well.
I've read all but #6 in Adams' Blood Singer series. I've liked some more than others - all at least 3-star reads for me, if not more. Hope you enjoy it.
I saw the first on your reading list and it sounds interesting, so I picked it up to check out. Glad to hear you're liking the rest too. ;)
