Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments 1 more book from 2010 to go, David Copperfield. Don't think I'm in the mood for a Charles Dickens next especially one as long as that but will be good to get it read and have no more books left from 4 years ago :o)

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12593 comments Fantastic, although don't envy you with a Dickens

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments 6 more books down, most of them from 2011 and even one paid for book! (Black by Rose)

I have started David Copperfield as well since I had a bit of a short book spree, time to even it up with a longer one. Show week is over now and I'm only on stage for 2 minutes in Aida in the 2nd act so I have time to read again! Woohoo! David Copperfield is my last unread book from 2010 :o)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I'm 5% in and my phone tells me I have 16 hours of David Copperfield left to go! Oh Lordy, I need to get reading.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12593 comments The diwnside of a timer! Good luck

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I thought I was going to have to give up on David Copperfield, but just as the homelife was getting too much for me he was packed off to school and now I'm much happier to keep reading it.

His mum is a right wash out. I hope she grows a pair and sorts out that husband and sister-in-law. Or else David grows up and he does.

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments It only took me a month but david copperfield is finally finished!! I loved it and would recommend it unless you hate waffly dickens type books

message 59: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments only 12 books behind on my Goodreads challenge now.

Eeek!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12593 comments I don't think I'll bother then Jud, haven't enjoyed a Charles Dickens book yet. Good luck on getting g in track with yours, I'm amazed to be 3 books ahead, reading 4 at once is clearly good for me

Maybe you could use your belly as a book rest....?

;0)

That'll make reading in the bath so much easier :o)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments 1 more down, have started reading DTB's as well which is holding me back from my kindle back log. I might include them as well though as they have been piling dust under my bed for ages.

message 64: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I'm not getting through these books as quickly as I'd like but looking at the first page I'm doing better than I thought.

And as a bonus I just knocked 73p off my unread books total so now I have £34.19 worth of unread books.

I totally recommend Treespeaker by the way!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12593 comments Fingers crossed you can catch up a bit before baby arrives!!

message 66: by Joo (new)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments Obviously baby will need to be read to. You'll have to practice reading horror books in a baby soothing voice :)

message 67: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Horror books? I'll give myself nightmares Joo!

message 68: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I managed to catch up a little on my holiday and now I'm only 11 books behind instead of 16 :o)

Better keep reading.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12593 comments Wow, that's a good catch up

message 70: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Aye, I didn't do too badly, read a few super short ones though. I have updated the first post with all the books I want to read this year, hopefully I'll get through them all. I've been getting quite a bit of pelvic pain so have a bit more time to put my feet up and leave the housework for Gee if he wishes the place to be clean.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12593 comments God luck, at least there is an upside to pain!

message 72: by Joo (new)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments Is that pain continuous Jud ;p
Does moving and cleaning make it worse?
I think you had better be safe than sorry and give up all movement except the thumb twitch and lift nothing heavier than a cup of tea and a biscuit.

message 73: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I think you are right Joo, better to be safe. Now where is my kindle?

message 74: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments How you doing Jud?

message 75: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I could be doing better :o)

I just wanted to focus on reading (or getting rid of) my old free books so even if I don't read anymore this year I'll be happy enough. Trying to work myself up to read A Tale of Two Cities

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12593 comments Gooduck with that Jud.

D.D. Chant (DDChant) | 7663 comments I've read David Copperfield and The Tale of Two Cities. I enjoyed them but they are one of the few books where I had to read other books at the same time. They can get a bit heavy. ;-P

Hope the tummy pain is a bit better. xxx

message 78: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I think I will enjoy them but it's the length of them that makes me delay starting them. Wont start this week as I'll not get a proper chance to get stuck in with mum and dad over

message 79: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Just finished another book that I bought this year, I really should stick to my older ones. I'm reading Virtual Justice now which I bought in 2013 so at least that will count

message 80: by Katy (new)

Katy | 2662 comments I've just finished Virtual Justice, Jud. It's a good read (:

message 81: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I'm enjoying it so far :o) Been reading it at my desk while no one else was in the office

message 82: by Joo (new)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments I have a few of Mel's to read. I'm sure I've read 3 of them, but I can't remember #3.

message 83: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Have you maybe read one of the short stories rather than the 3rd justice book?

message 84: by Joo (new)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments Possibly.
I downloaded the sample to check and was reading it in the garden and decided to buy it, but my wifi refused to work :)

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12593 comments I'm reading Virtual Justice at the moment, I've been reading the entire series, including the shorts. Would highly recommend the novels, wasn't keen on the shorts.
Naughty wi fi Joo!!

message 86: by Joo (new)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments I bought book 8 as it is on a kindle countdown sale at the moment.

message 87: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Oh! thanks for the info Joo
