Celyn's anxiety had reached an all time low and her mother could not have been happier. Meeting new friends was a piece of cake. Outcasts, like herself, conquered each day with the help from each other. It’s Celyn’s first and last summer with her friends. The days of summer are narrowing down, and the items on the ‘to do’ list keep multiplying. Life was going great for Celyn, until the ‘visions’ returned.
Her life soon takes an unexpected turn when Celyn's reckless friends venture into a mysterious manor. After witnessing a mysterious group of teenagers strike down her friends. The teens claim they are Shadow Slayers, a group of hunters that track down and capture nuisance shadows. Celyn promised herself that she would not get involved. But after discovering her mother is not who she appears to be, Celyn has no other choice but to join the Shadow Slayer team.
At the Archipelago, founded by the famous genius Dr. Rick Clarke, Celyn uncovers secrets that could shatter worlds into thousands of pieces. The mere priceless condominium serves as a safe harbor for those who have been plagued by shadows since the beginning of their existence. Celyn is like them. Her ‘visions’ grow stronger at night. The shadows have found her again and will continue to terrorize her until they receive their rightful prize.

Everything changes with a simple day of school, when she meets him. Her new literature teacher, Mr Samson, she is drawn to him, needs him, but she doesn’t understand why.

Sticking to a plan, however is hard when no one remembers what it is.
Melinda Cartier is a hacker, diplomat, and former council member of the Revolt. She fled the Nation when she realized her socialist views were trumped with Communism, the "Just Third Way". Now, months after being kicked into the fringes of society with nothing to live on after her protests, she's back for blood.
