From one Wattpad writer/member/reader to another. I’m curious about how other writers are fairing with the recent changes at Wattpad as well as the recent hacking of accounts that were released onto the dark web?
Are you doing alright (with the amount of readers and the flow of ideas from followers)? Has their new business money grab model at all effected you’re readers, followers, or any other aspect that I can’t call on at this moment?
I’m just curious. I’ve been a Wattpad member since 2013 and I’m not happy with what they did or where they’re taking Wattpad. For me, it’s no longer about the readers who some take to writing themselves. It’s now more geared towards writers that can bring in money. It’s so far from what it was originally meant to be and a lot are leaving. Not to mention the ads are so bad now it reminds me of a click bait rag mag site.
It all is just leading me to find a better way around Wattpad’s newly business model.
Just want an honest opinion from another Wattpad member.
Hey members,This is a little description of my book, which I started recently and I am losing motivation to keep going already.

I ignored all the sanity my brain was trying to feed me and took a step further closing the distance between us. I shifted my stare from his lips to his eyes. As inviting as his lips were, they were nothing in comparison to his captivating eyes. His eyes flickered an emotion. And there, I lost it.
I grabbed him by his collar and kissed him with all I had. Before I knew my hands were around his neck and his were snaking my waist. It was as if I was floating in the sky and....
Dang!
He pushed me, shoved me, and took a step back. Before I could process the feeling of rejection his phone rang and the screen lightened up with a picture of him kissing her.
And I stood there numb. I don't know what hurt more. The rejection, the humiliation, the fact that he lied about being done with her, or the fact that I might just have become someone I grew up hating.

This is my first dive into Wattpad and this kind of publishing. My first completed book on here is a little Dark Romantasy called The Jade Twilight.
I will say, it does get dark. But there's nothing but love there.
I am rolling out the first chapter over the next day or so, and the rest will be coming online a few parts at a time. Word count is just north of 100K. At least one steamy scene per chapter, or at least one beheading if that is what you need.
