Aribella's life is changed in a matter of minutes.
Previously living her goal as a teacher's aid, Ari finds herself in the middle of a blazing fire on a school excursion. With promises of rescuing her, a stranger, by the name of Delsin Rowe, comes just in time to help free her from the fires grasp.
There's just one condition to surviving: Ari can now control the power of smoke.
Turns out, Delsin is actually a conduit, a mutated human who can control any kind of power at will, and he just happens to be the most powerful in all of America.
Worried for Ari, Delsin's tribe demand that he teach her how to use the powers, and force him to let her stay with him for the duration of her time left. With Ari now under his protection, Delsin finds it hard to continue living his life the way it used to be.

This story idea originated from a dance my youth performance group performed several weeks ago called Warsaw, 1943. The dance went through the life of a Jewish girl during the Holocaust and the book closely follows. I'm not very far into this book, but I plan to have many more chapters.
