Sarah Hulcy (MuseofHell) | 6 comments Beyond Sanctuary Beyond the Veil Beyond Wizardwall The above ASIN numbers belong to the Kindle books shown. The problem is that I entered all three books as trade paperbacks with complete ISBN numbers, descriptions, etc., when we (Perseid Press) released them. The only way to find any of these books right now on Goodreads is by putting in either the ISBN or ASIN numbers and then the only ones that come up are the Kindle editions. Beyond Sanctuary shows up in a title search with no cover even though the rest of the information is there, but I cannot locate either of the other two by searching them by name. There are multiple entries for these books from the original editions in the late 1980s with several different covers from various printings. However, we have released new, Author's Cut Editions that are expanded and revised to the tune of 25,000 additional words with new covers. I was very careful when entering these new books and don't understand why they are so hard to find.

The following are the ISBNs for the trade paperbacks: Beyond Sanctuary - 978-09892100-5-8, Beyond the Veil - 978-0-9892100-8-9, Beyond Wizardwall - 978-09910573-1-3. Could someone please locate these pages and connect the Kindle and Trade Paperback editions of our new releases so they can be found? If the cover of Beyond Sanctuary, I can always upload it again. Thank you, Sarah Hulcy, Perseid Press

Ine | 263 comments I think the problem with the trade paperback was that they were linked to the author profile of Janet Morris, whereas all the other books were linked to the Goodreads author profile of Janet E. Morris. I've combined the missing books with the books that were already there, so they should be easier to find now.

9780991057313 is an unknown ISBN in WorldCat. Can you doublecheck if it's the correct one?

If you want to change the default edition that shows up in the search results, that is possible through the author profile. You can find the steps here: http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/31...

Sarah Hulcy (MuseofHell) | 6 comments Okay, I understand that there are two Janet Morris's that represent the same author, but I definitely put these under Janet Morris (no E.) so I'm not sure why they would be connected to Janet E. Morris. I'm not sure how to solve this double identity problem. She wrote her first series under Janet E. Morris but without the "E." thereafter. I have noticed, however, that many of her books are under Janet E. Morris, regardless of the fact that she stopped using her middle initial in the late 1970s.

I just checked our Bowker account and the 978-0-9910573-1-3 is correct as the ISBN assigned to Beyond Wizardwall Trade Paperback. Not sure why it would show as inaccurate.

Is there any way at all to link the two author listings? I know there are other writers named Janet Morris and their books also show up under a search of that name, but Janet E. Morris is only correct for the Silistra (High Couch of Silistra) series. In the Thieves' World anthology series, she may have been listed with the middle initial on occasion, but you can see on the covers of most of the books there is no "E." in evidence. I will check out the link to the author information and see if maybe we should go in and just select the default edition for all of the books we have republished. I assume that means that when someone searches "Beyond Sanctuary" whichever version we select as the default will show up first on the search results?

Thanks for your help. I try to be as careful as possible when creating these listings and it's confusing when I go back in two months later and can't find them!

Nina | 426 comments Sorry to interrupt this conversation... But I thought I´d mention that in my opinion Janet E. Morris is the correct profile, as that is her Goodreads author profile...

Sarah Hulcy (MuseofHell) | 6 comments Does she not have a "Janet Morris" author profile? If not, that is surely a problem since she has written under that name since 1980! She only wrote her first series as "Janet E. Morris" and then dropped the middle initial. Is there anything we can do to combine the names? She has always had problems getting on Goodreads and getting to her books and now I know why! I'm absolutely positive she does not know how to get into her author profile as Janet E. Morris. Can you tell me what she needs to do to get into the profile and at least update the information?

Ine | 263 comments It's definitely possible to rename the author profile! And it does conform to Goodreads policy if that's the name she's been publishing under. However, because this is an official Goodreads author profile, ordinary librarians are barred from making changes to it. You or Ms. Morris can contact Customer Support https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta..., or maybe a superlibrarian here can help out.
