Much obliged :)
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1..."
There are certainly reviews of it around the web, as well as on Goodreads. There is even an alternative cover. I would think it should stay. The total of ratings and reviews doesn't match the number that are visible but that shouldn't make much difference.
Note that just asking people to remove reviews doesn't mean that we will remove a book. If it is obvious that the book exists then it will stay.

EDIT: I already warned some Portuguese authors who put manuscripts as books on Goodreads to avoid it and only put the book here when it's published (self or by a Publishing House)

If it is available, or has ever been available, then we keep it.
It is also against the rules of Goodreads to remove the cover or delete the description or any other info on the record. I have reverted those changes.

The author asked the reviewers to remove the reviews (and the reviews were good, she received 4stars), because the book might never be published. It is unfair for authors to have manuscripts on Goodreads. I mean shouldn't we have only published books/short-stories/plays?
I mean it's really easy to put a book that does not exist (aka a manuscript), but it's impossible to remove it? It makes no sense, but if it can't be removed oh well, I appreciate the effort :)

Where do you draw the line? The book record said it was published in 2012 (it originally said 2009 but ignore that). That piece of data was added by the author herself 18 months ago (July 11, 2012). She set the number of pages, changed the cover several times and updated the description. When I lfirst looked at the book page there were five or six full reviews two of which I put through Google Translate. They were proper reviews, they had seen the relevant text, liked it, reviewed. The OP says the author asked the reviewers to remove their reviews. It has been on GR for 18 months, the author has been updating the records, and now it is suddenly a non-existant publication. Where do you draw the line?
This is the cache of the original page.

There are reviews on the web, perhaps they will 'go away' as well.

It IS very easy to add something to Goodreads. A year and a half ago the author could have had the book removed without many issues (we always ask questions in these situations) but after she has been keeping the data up-to-date all that time it is difficult to say 'it never was'. You OP says "it is still in beta reading..." which at least confirms that somthing exists.
Many authors have texts on Goodreads that will not see the light of day for years. They call them placeholders. Many of them are added by the author or their publisher or agent or minion. But some are added against the wishes of the author who will very quickly say "I don't want this here" and, usually, we will remove it because there are no reviews etc and it has only been on Goodreads for a short time.

I have a problem with the added release date of this particular book https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
In here the Publisher is stated Mischief Corner Books so according to them the book has released on 4th January 2014 https://mischiefcornerbooks.weebly.co...
But in Amazon its stated its 31st December 2013 so wanted to know which date is counted?
Thanks in Advance :)
Much obliged :)
