Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) Def check out The Child Thief by brom. It's a pretty good and dark version of peter pan plus the artwork is amazing. Brom was inspired by the original uncut peter pan to create the child thief and used different mythologies. I enjoyed that one with his other book krampus the yule lord. Both pretty good reads with great artwork! :-)

Kassandra | -1 comments Welcome to the challenge Ruby and happy reading!

A few of the books I have recently enjoyed include:

Ruby (rubyj0306) | 7 comments I have wanted to read 1984 for a while now. I am just reading stoner at the moment. I would say the best book I read last year was shantaram followed by room, a Reluctant Fundamentalist and the file people you meet in heaven. I have luminaries as a to read and a suitable boy but could do with some light reads also!

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) The Legend of Sleepy Hollowis a light read. I liked that one too.

عماد العتيلي (emadreads) Long time ago, a friend of mine recommended 'A Reluctant Fundamentalist' to me.
Ruby, did you read 'The Dream of a Ridiculous Man' before? If you didn't, then you should read it! It's great :)

Ruby (rubyj0306) | 7 comments I haven't I will definitely read that book. Just sitting down to read basti now it's supposed to be a good translation...

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) No problem. It's really short though.

Ruby (rubyj0306) | 7 comments That's fine. I read the testament of Mary which was, I suppose, a novella but a very good read.

Kassandra | -1 comments Ruby I loved Shantaram! Very few people have read it (that I have heard of anyway) and I consider it one of my faves so I get excited when someone reads it. Did you enjoy it?

message 13: by Ruby (new)

Ruby (rubyj0306) | 7 comments I loved it Kassandra. Yes I know it's not a well known book. I hear that Roberts is writing a sequel... Something like over the mountains or something. I absolutely loved the book definitely one of my favourites. I just loved how he described India without using descriptions of banyan trees etc. It was so accurate of India. Almost cried when his friend died.

Kassandra | -1 comments He's writing a sequel? I hadn't heard that - fantastic news! That novel is the sole reason that travelling around India is on my travel plans. I love his characters and his descriptions of India too!
