message 1: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Eugenie Markham didn't want any of this. Until now, she's been content with her job as a freelance shaman, battling and banishing Otherworldly creatures. When a prophecy makes her the Otherworld's most popular bachelorette, Eugenie finds herself fighting off supernatural suitors, as well as the evils that begin emerging from her past.

***According to Richelle's website at the moment, Shadow Heir is the conclusion to the Dark Swan series. She would like to write a fifth book, but at the moment, other commitments have taken precedence, so fans of the series keep your fingers crossed.

Carolyn F. This series I loved and was so sad when she said Shadow Heir was the last book. The romance in the beginning, I was so glad ended by the last book.

Lauren (laurenjberman) I read Storm Born (Dark Swan, #1) by Richelle Mead this month and all in all, I'm a bit on the fence about it. I liked the world and the action. The characters reminded me of Karen Marie Moning's Fever series although Eugenie is not nearly as irritating as Mac, Dorian is less smarmy than V’lane but Kiyo is definitely NOT Barrons.

I'll read the 2nd book and after that will see if I want to continue.

Lisarenee | 2046 comments I've been wanting to read this series, but haven't started it yet. I wonder which series came first, Fever or this one?

message 5: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Moning's series was published first - the plots are very different. It is only the character types that are similar.

Lisarenee | 2046 comments Then I definitely need to read it.
