I've always wanted to read Gone With the Wind. I think I might tackle it this year. We'll see, though. I get easily distracted by other books since I work in a library!

After reading 'Gone with the Wind' you must read 'Rhett Butler's People' by Donald McCaig. It's one of my favorites and really reads like the movie. I haven't read 'Gone with the Wind' yet so I can't compare it to Margaret Mitchell's book. I need to put it on my list too! Maybe this year:-)

I just finished The Cuckoo's Calling! I thought it was quite good. I, too, wasn't sure how to feel about her books outside of the Potterverse, but I really liked it.

I like seeing what everyone else is reading too. Good to know about The Casual Vacancy k I will have to pick up the Rhett Butler book.

I just finished In the Bleak Midwinter, by Julia Spencer-Fleming. If you like mysteries, I'd highly recommend it. At the moment, I'm about halfway through Fellowship of the Ring, and I'm enjoying it immensely.

Started off with Steelheart, a Brandon Sanderson YA fiction followed by Old Man and the Sea. About to tackle Horns by Joe Hill and follow that with East of Eden.

I just finished My Totally Awkward Supernatural Crush by Laura Toffler-Corrie it is YA fiction but I didn't care too much for it... I think young teens/preteens ages 11-14 may really enjoy it though....
My next read is Revelations by J.A. Souders it's number two in the Elysium Chronicles with #1 being Renegade.... so far it is good....

I'm reading Pride and Prejudice this week. It's one of my all-time favorite books and I thought it would be the perfect read to start off the new year.

Horns is a fantastic book! I just listened to the audio book in November and thought it was brilliant. I've always been a Stephen King fan, but I do have to say, I think his son is better at wrapping stories up.
So to kick things off: Week 1. What are you reading?
I just finished An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. I thought it was a pretty good book, but it was pretty standard YA fiction. Since I started this book before the New Year, I don't think I'll count it towards my actual 75 book goal (I easily accomplished 52 books last year, so I decided to challenge myself to 75 this year).
I am currently reading Eleanor Catton's The Luminaries, which is absolutely incredible. Her prose is eloquent and beautiful. I feel like I am inside her settings. The narrative sucked me in within the first chapter, and I'm finding it hard to put this book down.
