Jeane (pinkbookdragon) | 323 comments We are going to be implementing a couple of changes starting the first of the year. The first thing is that we have two new moderators, Shanea and Beth! They running different aspects of the group let's give them a warm welcome :) Another thing is that before we were choosing books three months ahead of time and after discussing things with my fellow booktator Angie, we have decided to only choose the books two months in advance, so still enough time to read monster reads or to jump ahead if one wishes to do so. We just thought three months was too much.

Another change is that we will be adding plays, and young adult books (For instance Peter Pan, Secret Gar den, Watership Down, etc) to the polls (not picture books). I feel like we are missing out on a lot of great pieces of literature by having these unavailable for our group to read. So please make your recommendations to the proper forums (Pre-1910, 1910-1959, 1960-2004) and Angie will research the selections and add them to our spreadsheets if she feels they are classics. Yes, Angie has final say as to what goes on our spreadsheets. Period. If anyone has a huge problem with it, we are still having polls to choose books so just don't vote for those books. This will make more work for Angie unfortunately, but she said that she is still up to the task.

Another change is that we will be having discussion leaders now for the book of the month, and the way the discussions are set up are for the discussion leaders that month to decide. If a discussion leader likes the chapter by chapter set up, they can set them up that way, if they would like to set up discussion quest ions for people to answer they can do that, etc. Whatever the discussion leader decides on.

If you are interested in becoming a discussion leader please contact me.

As always feel free to send your feedback to me :)

Sincerely Jeane
