Janice Morrison | 2 comments Okay so I tried to remember as much as I can about this book. I am pretty sure there was a rose on the cover of It btw. So a girl who was rich and snobby, her family suddenly becomes poor and she turns against them all. They move to the slums somewhere hot (like Texas maybe?) And her mom is constantly crabby and pushing her around forcing her to do a lot of work. One of the guys that are helping them move (just 3 regular volunteer teenage guys) takes an interest in her and constantly feeds to her emotions (they shouldn't be treating you like this, you should run away) and quickly things heat up between her and her family. In an act of open defiance she rebells against her family's wishes on not dating the boy and things get intense between them (sexual abuse from him, but he comforts her and tells her what she wants to hear, all the while turning her against her parents) and he has a collection of guns or knives I believe. Ever the dark, mysterious bad boy. *So cliche* eventually he suggests she kill her parents and run away with him. Things go awry and at first she agrees, then second- guesses if she could ever really go far enough to betray her family by killing them. Then she becomes scared of him but tells him the plan is still on. So the night he comes in ready to kill her parents, she is waiting in the house hiding. When he enters the room the police are there. She ended up calling them and had them wait for him in the house. She cries and questions are asked to her by her parents who feel angry at her for even considering it, by Mr.Bad boy as to why she didn't want to run away and turned him in, blah blah blah. It ended with a sentence like she didn't know who she was anymore, but she knew she wasn't the same girl (maybe she used her name, idk.) So please help. Thankyou
