Oh man, I loved The Innocent and The Hit. They have another one coming out soon!!

message 206: by Sonya (new)

Sonya Heaney It has been years since I read a book by J.R. Ward. I guess I was always more a fan of the relationship aspects, and when she started switching to urban fantasy I wasn't as interested. :(

I'm reading (ARCs) the upcoming Harlequin Presents Fifth Avenue series. It has really surprised me - Presents books have finally joined the 21st century!:

Take Me by Maisey Yates Avenge Me (Fifth Avenue Trilogy, #1) by Maisey Yates Scandalize Me (Fifth Avenue Trilogy, #2) by Caitlin Crews Expose Me (Fifth Avenue Trilogy #3) by Kate Hewitt

message 207: by Kate (new)

Kate | 56 comments I loved Baldacci's Camel Club series. I do have to get back to reading him again.

I just finished reading Anne Stuart's Lady Fortune and loved it. It's a light, funny, sexy romp with just a bit of intrigue.

I haven't gotten to read the Camel Club books, but there is a crossover with Stone and Will Robie, which is very cool. Bullseye (Will Robie, #2.5) by David Baldacci

I tried reading Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X, #1) by Richelle Mead when it first started but couldn't get into it at all.

Are you enjoying The Will? I have it on my TBR list & it sounds good but with older hero/heroine than I'm used to it would seem!

message 219: by Sonya (new)

Sonya Heaney I've never read a KA book, but heard the heroine in The Will speaks in a really weird way!

I really need to try something of hers, even if just to find out what I'm missing out on!

message 220: by 100sweet (new)

100sweet | 4 comments The Stand Off by Z. Stefani just came out and I am super excited. VERY ALPHA POSSESSIVE OTT Hero and really HOT sex. Z Stefani does not disappoint. She is an auto buy. Also Rule's Obsession (The House of Rule) by Lynda Chance bc Lynda Chance is another auto buy.

✿ Natalie ✿ | 428 comments Now reading Demon from the Dark Demon from the Dark (Immortals After Dark, #10) by Kresley Cole woohoo - I've been waiting for this one to be out on audio for ages! Has anyone else here listened to the Immortals After Dark series on audio? I really like the actor (Robert Petkoff's) voice who reads them.

Also just started The Pirate Captain The Pirate Captain Chronicles of a Legend by Kerry Lynne

Sorry for the late reply. I did not receive a notification. I usually devour KA books but The Will is not catching my attention like her books usually do. I like the hero. He is sexy, bossy, filthy mouthed and is a good father to his children, The heroine is beautiful and a little damaged. She does talk different but I do not mind that. They just don't seem to have any chemistry yet. I am 50% through so maybe it gets better. Fingers crossed.

message 224: by Sonya (new)

Sonya Heaney I'm rereading and getting up to date on the Alpha and Omega and Mercy Thompson series.

Currently going on these two: Hunting Ground (Alpha & Omega, #2) by Patricia Briggs Silver Borne (Mercy Thompson, #5) by Patricia Briggs

I'm thinking I should start with one of her other books... Now I just need to decide which one. :)

message 226: by Sonya (new)

Sonya Heaney I'm rereading Sookie Stackhouse. Haven't picked these up in years, and I'm trying really hard to push the TV show version out of my mind! Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris

I'm also liking what I've read of this one so far: Blind Fury by Gwen Hernandez

message 227: by Ann (new)

Ann (anyh) | 5 comments I loved the will. love reading all KA and reread them. reading lacybourne manor now. also read new lynda chance - auto read her. love them both.

message 228: by Ann (new)

Ann (anyh) | 5 comments sonya - for KA I recommend starting with rock chick or dream man or colorado series. all great. I stumbled across her and i first read motorcycle man. no idea why. . lol. glad I did now. lacybourne manor is the last and I will have read everything by her. her style is different but I just love it and her. whatever genre she chooses it is worth reading. I have favs of course but all are good amazingly.

Bethany Is anyone else reading (or have read) Taunting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles #2) by Amelia Hutchins ?? I have completely mixed feelings about it! The first one Fighting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles, #1) by Amelia Hutchins I found much better than this one. Too much swearing, and Im no prude I have a mouth like a trucker but come on! and There's absolutely ZERO dialogue btwn Ryder and Syn other than wanna fuck or NO you don't own me. Holy crap.

Kate~ I felt the same way, I couldn't get into it, and it actually sat on my shelf for a few months before I gave it another try, Trust me though, it does pick up, and when I finished it I couldn't WAIT for the next one to come out (which I believe is May 20th but don't quote me) It was a fantastic book. I think because the world she introduces us to is so intricate and there's so much depth to it that it takes a while to get settled in. But once that happens you're in for a real literary treat. The sexual tension btwn Justin and Mae is out of control HOT lol
Stick with it!

message 235: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Im sorry, it's May 29th not the 20th for the second book of the Age of X series The Immortal Crown (Age of X, #2) by Richelle Mead

message 236: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Finished Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop and Murder of Crows (The Others, #2) by Anne Bishop - incredible world building and engaging characters. Loved every minute.

Now listening to Iron Crowned (Dark Swan, #3) by Richelle Mead and the heroine has annoyed me so much that I want to smack her really hard!

Mmm I love those books! I've just got the last book in the series to go but keep putting it off! Kinda don't want the series to end but also am anxious for it to be a satisfying end too :-)
I much preferred the books to the tv series but saw Eric as looking very different in the books so had to try and get Alexander Skarsgard out of my head during the latter ones!!

Omg the books are SO much better. Although I do renew my HBO subscription every June so I don't miss the show lol I hope you like the last book, the ending IMO was fantastic... Charlaine stayed true to Sookie's character and heart. Sad that it's over :(
And don't get me started on Eric OH EM GEE haha

Oh yes Eric!! ;-) Good to know you feel that the ending of the last book was a good one and that she stayed true to Sookie's character, that was what I was worried about as to why putting reading it off for so long! Plus, I so don't want the series to end!! I'm totally dreading the end of KMM's Fever series coming too...but luckily have quite a few more years yet before that, phew!

AHH Same here! I swear, Barrons is like my dream man. I Cannot wait for Burned Burned (Dani O'Malley, #2; Fever, #7) by Karen Marie Moning
to come out. Seriously the best series ever. I thought Dani was annoying at first, but ICED was still insanely awesome, Ryodan :::Drool::: Even V'lane is to die for, KMM is a Master at creating sex Gods lol
