"I guess..." River cut in, "You have something against guessing."

"I sure am," River replied, deciding to ignore her sarcasm, "Nice of you to notice."
"Ah. I always loved that insult, you know. It had the strange effect of making me want to laugh while feeling insulted."
Well, there was no way River was going to break the silence. Oh, no, that wasn't the way he rolled. He just looked at the two other people, watching.
Okay, so maybe he was going to break the silence. "So, what exactly do people call you?" he asked Bekah. He still hadn't gotten her name.
River nodded and carefully extended a hand for her to shake.
River grinned. Pretty soon she would probably notice the small message his stamp left on her palm: "You made the mistake of shaking hands with River Correston. Congrats!"
((I don't really care. Some little winky face, or something. ;) ))
"Hmm..." River considered this question, "I'm not quite sure exactly what you meant by that. If you mean 'What have I done to deserve this?' then... I don't really know. I thought it was funny. If you meant 'What is the use of this weird stamp on my hand?' then it can... make you smile?"
"I neither destroyed nor defaced your hand," River pointed out, "I just gave it a nice little piece of artwork. And, really, it'll come off as soon as you wash your hand."
((Night!))He glance back at her one more time before absorbing himself in what he was typing, which, incidentally was random stuff, seeing as his essay was complete.

Cleo had saved, and printed out her essay and now she was judging and organizing everybody in the room. River was probably her favourite, the joker while Trey was the more serious one. Leaf would be a funny trainer, whereas Fiona would be more... Strict. "Your name?" Leaf asked the initiate stepping back from him.

Xander hurries into the library to start his next essay.
River opened his file and printed out his essay so he could turn it in before time was called. You know, with about three seconds to spare.
Xander looks up at a girl near the printer and smiled up to her.
Xander walks up to the girl. "Hey, I'm Xander."
"Nice to meet you." Xander extends his hand to Bekah.
River turned around and looked at Bekah. He hadn't realized she had transferred from Dauntless, too... Come to think of it she did look a little familiar...
"You just don't seem very Dauntless," River replied, thinking back, trying to see whether he had just missed all the clues.
Xander smiles up at her, "I think that's pretty cool though.That takes a lot of determination."
"Fair point, fair point," River gave in. He hadn't really considered any reasons for leaving a faction other than his own.
"I could have, yes," River steered around her question carefully. He couldn't anybody about his sister; that would only put her in even greater danger.
Xander moves over to a desk to start typing out his essay.
Little did Bekah know that this was actually a bit of a touchy subject with River. "No," he said firmly, "You're hungry, not starving. People actually starve in some places." He didn't add that his sister might be, back in Dauntless.
"Thank you," he said quietly, patting his printed essay on a table so that the pages would be even with each other.
River began to walk to the door of the library, planning to hand in his essay.
Ah. Bekah was following him. He'd obviously made some sort of impression.
River veered left before reaching the door, walking over to a dictionary. He could use the definition of stalker when Bekah needed evidence.
((Kay.))River stared at the definition, go over it in his head. A person who pursues game, prey, or another person stealthily. He turned around to see that she was still there.
Xander finished typing his essay and went to the printer to print it out.
Xander walks up to Bekah again, gathering his strength."hey, I heard you said you were hungry and I'm kinda starving too..."

River rolled his eyes and slipped past the two, out the door. Honestly, could that guy be any more obvious?

Leaf stands back and glances at the time, "TIME'S UP" he calls out. "Get your essays in your hands, and be back in the initiation room with your tablets in the next 10 minutes" he adds before promptly walking out.
Cleo got up and stretched after transferring her essay to her tablet, and printing it out. People were really picky about using trees now day and paper was barely used. She looked around, looking for someone specific.
Luka quickly sent the text to his tablet and looked around. Most of the other intiates were hurriedly typing out last minute conclusions.
He noticed a girl looking around. She seemed to be finished, so for a second, he met her eyes.

Cleo met somebody's eyes and smiled warmly at them. She wasn't usually like this, and she didn't know why so she glanced away quickly. He wasn't the guy she was look for.
