Sarah | 4 comments I read this book a while back when I was in high school. It was such a good read!!

The main girl lives with her mother, but when her mother goes missing, she moves in with her grandparents(who may or may not live across the street?).
There is a huge mystery surrounding her mother's disappearance.
Another character is a boy who she goes to school with. He is homeless, and she allows him to live in the small shed/house/bedroom behind her house. His father is abusive.
The father of the homeless boy attacks the main girl, almost killing her, but she is rescued and her mother returns from hiding.
The other boy/love interest is a young man who in the end turns out to be an undercover cop who is watching out for her while her mother is gone.

Any Clues?

When were you in school Sarah? Was the book new or old then? Does the MC know why her Mum has disappeared? Or is she in the dark too?

Sarah | 4 comments I want to say I read it somewhere between 2009-2010. It seemed like it could've been a little bit older, not completely new. I picked it up at my local library.
The MC is in the dark about her mother's disappearance.
