Finished yesterday. Very enjoyable and great view of the early 20th century through food, transportation, and travel. Fred and Ford Harvey were very respectable men and wished there were more like them in business today.
I'm going to give the J.K. Rowling non-Harry Potter book a try.
My mom gave up on the book so I'm a little concerned but will still give reading it a try.

I'm now reading It Happened in Kansas: Remarkable Events that Shaped History for the Kansas Humanities Book Club. It looks like an interesting but easy read, so that will only leave me two assigned books to read for next month. If my reading keeps up I will be able to get some out for the Little Free Libraries.

To me it was one of the best things I've read in a very long time, and I read it a few years ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I was not a fan of The Kite Runner. Okay, I was really enjoying it up until the end. I got so frustrated with the main character. He had the opportunity to become the man I think he wanted to be and heal from the past, but he failed. I felt like I went though this journey only be told it didn't matter.

Just finished The Accidental Bachelorand it was okay, but more of a guy's book. It was a free Kindle download. I'm currently reading My Cheeky Angelon my phone. It was a free Kindle download. Just started, but it is a very light read. For the Humantities book discussion I'm also reading It Happened in Kansas: Remarkable Events that Shaped History. Very short chapters about things that happened in the state I call home. It is interesting.
Finished Across Eternity which was a free Kindle download. I had such hope for a couple that reincarnates and finds each other in every lifetime. But only he could remember their past, and he dies only a few months after finding her. I would have loved for them to have talked about their previous lives, rather than instantly falling in love. Okay, maybe I am a skeptic.

Started reading The Golem and the Jinni and so far so good.
I managed to finish The Casual Vacancy but it was a painful read.

For something on the quick side I picked up Stephen King's The Green Mile. I didn't realize that it is 6 short stories. I will say it was a bit awkward when I switch from Two Dead Girls to Mouse on the Mile, but many times "Parts" will be titled.

Started I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban.
