I've be wanting to read Le Guin for a while and now I have the motivation to do so. I'll get to it as soon as my copy's available at the library.
Le Guin has stated in the past that for TV and movie adaptations of her works, Lathe of Heaven is actually good. She also found the play version to be also good.
I would like to read this one if I can manage to get my hands on a copy. I love LeGuin, but haven't read this one yet!
I couldn't find a Kindle copy but had a brainwave and checked my bookshelf - I'd had a SF Masterworks copy for years that I'd never got around to reading it.Near the end now and enjoying it very much :)
I don't have this but will be following the discussion. I vaguely remember the TV or film version.
HI everyoneI'm in for this one. I'm about 25% through this novel already and its very interesting so far.
I just got notified that the copy I requested has arrived at the library, so I'll be able to start it soon!
Starting this today. With the HUGE reputation it has, I hate to say it, but I'm looking for a lot from this book. I know better than to do this expectation thing, but I have literally stumbled across hundreds of references to this novel. I read it as a kid, but can't remember a thing about it. I'm hoping that's because I was a shallow empty brain case of hormones and not because I didn't like it.
