I'm currently reading Loving Ruth by Sondra Wells. Just finished Incarcerated by Inger Iversen really enjoyed it and now I've got to read the second book Teal and Trent's story.
Meka wrote: "sometimes the WTFs can make or break a book. I hope in your case it's favorable."Naw I was chugging along enjoying it, and ran into this huge colorism issue that came out of nowhere. Usually that stuff is found in the beginning of a book. It didn't come from a main character but still unsure how to process it either.
Starting today Black Feather's Bride
. H is Navajo & White & h is White. I've tried to read this in the past but for some reason stopped reading it. I'm going to make another attempt to complete.

I haven't read western themed historical in over 10 years easy. Let us know how it turns out.
Oh have to say every time I see your name it gives me pause because it's my niece's name also. lol
I'm currently reading Aching For Home 1&2 by A.c. Nixon and enjoying the story thus far. I'm a sucker for Military Romance and if it's IR even better.

Last weekend I binged read: - Coming Around Again (chuckles and teary eyes, LOVED it)
- Snowbound (good story)
- Maybe Baby (intrigued by concept, good story)
- Maybe Tonight: A Life in Progress (nice prequel)
- Incarcerated (first time reading this author, definitely will read more)
- Natural Beauty (good story)
- Scarred (just discovered this author, want to read more)
Still working on reviews for Incarcerated
& His Bahamas Affair
. Finished Black Feather's Bride
which was better than I anticipated, Could I be a Werewolf?
a fun series, & Color Blind
this was good and makes you think.
For Eve Vaughn fans especially those who have read/reading her latest releases

I've got some books I have to read to review, but I want to try this IR next
Apparently, it's being revised and republished.
I just finished
Yes! Yes! A novel with a man who is not rich or heir to a fortune. It was different, a couple small things that were off, but nothing to take away from the story. I only wish it was longer, that is my only compliant. I just love a story with letters and I really enjoyed Katie and Logan getting to know each other. Can't wait to read Teal's story!
A-W wrote: "Ren I so agree. Incarcerated was very good. I'm anxious to read Teal's story too!"I started reading and could not stop...I'm so glad I read it. Teal and Trent! That will be fireworks for sure!
Just finished
and it was good, and finished
and loved it! I normally don't read Historical Romances, but this one was really good. I didn't realize T.A. Ford is AKA Sienna Mynx, so no wonder I liked it ;)

Ren I cannot wait for Teal and Trent's story either! I was the exact same way I read it in one day. Definitely one to be nominated for book of the month.

I'm sold on it. Adding it to my already massive tbr list. I read the blurb and it reminded me of a very good IR movie that I saw on Netflix with Gabrielle Union and Jeremy Renner called "Neo-Ned". It had a somewhat similar premise of a black woman falling for a guy who is a former white supremacist while they were patients together in a psychiatric facility.
I don't know what I just read!!
For anyone that watches Scandal, this book is about the Mob version of Huck! The hero is scary, so much so, I don't know how he can be a hero.
I think the writing could have been a little bit more fluid, but I just read this book in less than a day.
I don't quite know how to feel but I have to say NNNNOOOOOO something is wrong! Because for all his evil tendencies I like the hero!!!!! aahhhhhhh
This book is dark, I don't think it's for everyone.

Ren this sounds dark. I love a good dark read. Adding it.

The scandal comparison sounds good but I chickened out after I saw that some gave it tags like non-con, abuse and human trafficking. I struggle with dark reads that feature those things. I have a hard time reading objectively when it comes to that for some reason. I don't like when things that heinous are romanticized.

Yes, some disturbing things happen. Now I feel the pull to read more dark novels.
@Mochaspresso yeah you probably wouldn't want to read it then. It has a BDSM theme going for it but just much more sadistic I think.
Like I said, Huck....and you know how Huck gets with his tools and a body.
