I just finished Defiant Dragon by Kassanna. Started off a little slow but I enjoyed it.

Thanks For commenting on this book. I saw the cover and didn't even bother to read what it was about until I read your recommendation. The reviews on amazon are favorable as well. That is a terrible cover though! Why did someone think that was appealing? LOL! It sounds interesting though so I'm going to put it on my TBR list.

LOL! The cover is hideous. It's not attractive or even sligthly enticing. I enjoyed the story, though, and I hope you enjoy it too.

Fashionista, I too finally finished
, and really enjoyed it also. I found myself loving and hating most of the characters at different times. Can't wait for the next installment.

Doing a huge happy dance because I found an IR book that satisfies my black cosplay geek comic-loving asian male requirements
.Never read this author but the premise rocks my world!
Someone give me a good rec. Im doing the Nicky Charles series but its not IR so I need a fix lol. Decent but damned long winded on superfluous detail so I'm feenin for some good old fashioned IR obsessed alpha romance. Been coming across a string of 2 star IR books the last few months. Guess thats better than the Great DNF Drought of 2013 though.
Savannah, I hear ya. This authorYvette Hines always has some hot heroes and tells a good story. Try
or
.I just discovered Naima Simone and loved
.I've read several of the sf/f by Evangeline Anderson. This is a single contemp
and this SF series that includes
Tall, Dark & Alpha Boxed SetJust picked this up. Features ten books with five IR books by Eve Vaughn, Afton Locke, Farrah Rochon, Koko Brown, Delaney Diamond.
I've only read one so far, Sex With an Ex by Eve Vaughn and it was dysfunctional family hella good.
I have changed my mind. I just read a sample of
.It sounds awesome and the reviews have been really great!
I just finished Leslie DuBois
and I was leery at first but I really enjoyed this book. It had a good story line and it was actually encouraging to me. I highly recommend it.
I've tried both A Heart Not Easily Broken and Jaded in the last 24 hours. Had to put both down due to the utter revulsion I felt when the female leads were introduced. Evidently, M.J. Kane is not an author I can deal with. DNF'd both, and put the reasons why in reviews.I did finish and overall enjoy Love through pain. Gave it 3 stars because although its excellent in the IR genre, I'm no longer giving its-great-to-be-an-IR-book points. LOL that mess is over.
I'm about to go back to my Battaglia's with La Famiglia. They never disappoint me.

I really enjoyed this one too. I loved how the characters interacted with one another and then also with his family members. I also loved how the female lead didn't back down from her friends!
After a message from the author, I am reading
. Sounds interesting. And it's a free loan with Amazon Prime, so why not!!-LOL
Just got my ARC of
by the lovely A.D. Koboah this week, so I'm about to dive in. House is clean, kids are fed, company has all gone home..its about to be ON. lol Been looking forward to this for a long while it seems. Will update as I go.
Warning: Don't get sucked in by the hot cover
. It's early, but this might make my worst read of 2014 list, not IR, period. I almost want to get Savannah to read this because her commentary would be great. This so bad, it's kind of good. Like Showgirls.
Ha! I was interested in the cover for like a hot minute til I read the blurb. She an undercover cop on the stroll, yes? I would not be falling in love with a guy who met me when I was pretending to be a hooker. Just saying. Yeah,. we need to get Savannah on it!

Andrea is
an IR romance? It sounds good regardless, but I'm just curious.
I finally finished my review of
. I felt it had to be done as a public service announcement:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Mstcat wrote: "rea is Secrets and Sins Malachim (A Secrets and Sins Novel) (Entangled Ignite) an IR romance? It sounds good regardless, but I'm just curiou..."Hmm, good question. lol! The first in the series had a WM/FilipinoW. It was so good, I immediately put the next on my w-t-r list. But now looking at reviews and descriptions, I can't tell either. I've even got the ebook sample. It's going to be explosive but I couldn't tell races.
If anyone knows, tell the group here please. I'm reading it sometime anyway.

Hey girl! Well I am just at about the 30% mark, but hoping some of this stuff will come into play with the resolution. So here are the things that have me scratching my head:
1. What's up with this random asides dealing with her race? It feels like the writer is making a point to distinguish her from "the normal types of blacks" or something.
2. I do not get the relationship with the ex at all. I understand forgiving, but don't understand being joined at the hip with the ex; especially, when you consider the circumstances that made him an ex.
3. Now I am at the point where she is taking pictures of a child, and it's so random and WTF.
In short, I am having a hard time connecting to this heroine because we wouldn't get along. There is something so unintentionally weak sauce about her, IMO.
What are you confused about?"Hey girl! Well ..."

Hello! You know, It's terrible but I can't even remember the heroine. I remember Alex though. I do remember that I wish I had read his other story before this one because then maybe I would have liked it more because I would have understood more? IDK. Ah, now I remember the ex, (that sucked for her, and for her to even fall for Alex in the first place?) SMH-I remember now. Yes, yes strange woman. :) You're right, she was weird. The book becomes even more strange as far as what is she thinking when some characters from the previous book come into play.

Okay PDiva, I had to finish before commenting (hadn't gotten to that couple yet). This book was just a fail on a lot levels. It's going to be hard writing a review for it, you did a really job of putting all the issues together.
Has anyone read Eternity's Touch yet? Eternity's Touch I was just wondering if it's good or not--sounds steamy, dark, and hot...

Well I'm vested, but I want to see how it is all pulled together. The paranormal aspect is where I'm trying to grapple with the story.
Replying in here instead: :)I'm currently reading
(second book in the Free Falling series) and it is ssssooooo good! I couldn't stop reading it yesterday. Well balanced book that i am enjoying. However, the heroine Sam is ssssooo stupid! Overall she is a good heroine but sometimes she does the dumbest things in reaction to a difficult situation. I'm reading the book and telling her "nnnnnnnnnoooo don't"
