Hmm, I know nothing about horses but I could still follow. I just don't know what a groom or an exercise rider does... :/

I know very little about horses as well. I think the groom is just the person who has to brush the horses down every day and put their riding tackle on and off. the exerciser is the person who takes the horse for a ride for exercise every day, a bit like a dog walker. I suppose not every horse is used every day otherwise?

This book reminds me a bit of The Distance Between Us by Kasie West, about a wealthy guy and poor girl on a relationship.

Most of the book takes place in the horse stables etc. very little happens at the school at all.
I liked Savannah but she did seem a little odd at times.
