Thats right Sharon its only been the last 2 months I think we only had 3 serious teams so no 3rd place was given.

Oh my gosh! So typically someone from the first serious team will win the overall, so they'll get 6 ebooks!

As far as I know yes I have only ever come 3rd over all so I can't be positive. Does this make you want to read more books lol I have sent my requests to Sarah now its just a matter of waiting to hear back :)

Well, it could happen. There are times when the first place team wins but they do not get any books from the solo portion. It depends on the 1st-3rd placing to earn you the extra books from the solo portion.

Yeah that's true. That's such an inspiration though, all those free books!

My books have arrived so I will be able to start anytime you like. Do we have to reset this thread for April?

I'm just kind of reading them when I can XD Haven't set a specific date because that probably won't work. Uhm I've got my current read and then my next read before I get to the two novellas, and then I'll read #2 straight after that as well. So I'll start the novellas around the 6th/7th.

I couldn't get it to go onto my phone so I stayed back at work to read it off my computer lucky it was only short as I had been working for 15 hours already so I was beat :)

And how short was it? How long did it take?

Would Secret Heart be any more than 50 pages, do you think? There's no way to tell, as GR has no page count, and my copy of Fierce Reads has a different page count to that on GR. I'm going to be reading Secret Heart now.

Review: Little 8-page novella from Fade's perspective. I knew straight away what part of the book this was at, as he mentioned (view spoiler)[losing Deuce (hide spoiler)]. I'm pleased to that little insight into how he feels about Deuce, even though it was really obvious... That novella was basically pointless. I learnt nothing new.

Hahaha yeh it was super short we could have skipped it but now we know for sure how he feels lol

More like my curiosity is sated XD I know what I would've been missing, and I hate missing books in a series.

Secret Heart: (view spoiler)[ This was short novella. I did think it was interesting to understand the scene from Fade's perspective. However, I think it was also a bit pointless because it did not give any other insights to what happened during that part. I give it a 3/5. (hide spoiler)]

Just about to start Chapter 4 of Endurance (view spoiler)[Wow this got right into it! Awesome. Quite a lot of violence though. I'm pleased that it shows the progression of the enclave after Fade and Deuce left, and how they took the news. I'm all for the rebellion. And I wonder what'll happen with Stone and Thimble, what with not many people left in the enclave. Really pleased that Stone's got his son :) (hide spoiler)]

A little into Chapter 5 (view spoiler)[Naw Stone and Thimble have distance now :( I hope they can make that back up, and that Stone will still be accepted even though he'd been forced to fight.
Crazy how they just say 'he had lived', almost as if they didn't care who'd died and who hadn't.. Kind of insensitive. (hide spoiler)] Done for the night. I'll finish tomorrow, and then get started on Outpost :)

Finished (view spoiler)[Woah is this a journal with a reference to the first novella, Foundation (#0.5)? About having to come down below into the bunkers so they'd be safe? (a little later into reading) it is! It's the one by Robin, before they started the enclave.

Really hope that they get Topside, and we read more of their story!
I think they deserve a few chapter in Outpost, so we know what they're up to. Or at least they join up with Deuce. (hide spoiler)]

4% (view spoiler)[Salvation's like a cult! Telling them what to wear and where to go. And it sucks that they're keeping them apart and that Deuce and Fade don't even talk anymore. At least she's holding her own against Stalker's determined 'affections'.

And I'm pleased to be finding out more about the Freaks! That they're humans who didn't die to the disease is interesting, and the fact that they've still got some potential brains in them could make for some good conflict too. (hide spoiler)]

7% (view spoiler)[It's kind of weird to think that in the enclave, they only made children who looked good, and who were strong. Looking good doesn't make a difference, does it?

And if it did make such a difference, how come Deuce doesn't realise that all of the Salvation kids are born out of love, not necessity.. (hide spoiler)]

19% (view spoiler)[Yay at least her and Fade have rekindled what they had :) I like how Fade was really upset about it, and that's why he kept his distance. I can already tell that now Stalker's going to do the same thing Fade did and get angry and leave them both alone. And it'll lead to something bad on one of the patrols, I feel.

24%. Not liking this one as much as the last one. This one's definitely dialed back a lot on the action.. Better get more interesting soon. I'm 1/4 of the way through..

29% (view spoiler)['Flying carriage into the sky'... I keep forgetting that even though they've got nothing, they're in the future, and that our current world is their past. So weird.

I like the way Deuce's making me think about our world, of 'breeding' just because we want to, not because we need to, and not because we're genetically perfect. And now this stuff about birthdays, and getting presents for something that wasn't even our fault XD

There's always a character like Tegan, isn't there: really trusting and eager for the change in lifestyle. (hide spoiler)]

Endurance Chapter 1: (view spoiler)[ It is sad to see how the College enclave got attacked, especially when the brats were there and needed to be rescued. I am liking the story from Stone and Thimble's POV. It gives us a break from Deuce's POV. (hide spoiler)]

Endurance Chapter 3: (view spoiler)[ This is a really interesting read. I love the fast pace and the action. I want to know what Stone and Thimble are going to do. I hope they leave the Enclave. Wow...I totally forgot this novella and I was like OMG...Stone has a son! Haha. (hide spoiler)]

Endurance Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ I think Thimble and Stone are distant from each other because Thimble has never seen Stone kill people before, so I think she is adjusting to Stone killing people. Also, Stone is the hunter now and he has the protective instincts, while Thimble is the builder and she has all the brains. (hide spoiler)]
