I've decided to aim for 30 reads. I have a new baby so won't have my usual reading time but hopefully can achieve this figure!

So I started the book Running Like A Girl at the end of 2013 but finished the bulk of it in January but won't count this in my 30 books for 2014.
Just finished reading Mad About The Boy by Helen Fielding. I wasn't sure if I should read it as I enjoyed the first two Bridget Jones stories so much I didn't want to be disappointed. I can say I was pleasantly surprised. It was an easy read but after the first few pages I remembered why we loved the character of Bridget so much.

Great, really honest & motivational. Has inspired me to dig out my running shoes!
Highly recommend.

Just finished reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Been on my TBR pile for a long time. Now there will be a movie of the book I wanted to finish it before it was released. Still not sure whether I enjoyed this book. Definitely a page turner with lots of twists and turns.
I'm currently reading (& loving) Under The Dome by Stephen King, but as it's a long read I will read it alongside others. I like having a novel I can dip in and out of.

Buddy Reads are very good for books you want to take your time with. You get to discuss it along with a partner (:
Pictures of Lily by Paige Toon finished.
Not a book I would have chosen for myself but it was a free ebook. An easy to read chick lit with a predictable, but enjoyable ending.
Was a quick read, I've never read Paige Toon before but this novel would have been an ideal beach read. So next holiday may try her again.

Brick Lane - Monica Ali
I've had this book on my TBR pile for years and I finally got round to reading it. It was a very realistic portrayal of the life of a woman removed from Bangladesh to start her life in Brick Lane.
The story is somewhat uncomfortable in places and at times the story seems to take some effort to complete. But all in all a good read.
