Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R. Tolkien - Restarting August 15th 2019

I reckon they would. I mean why wouldn't they?? Especially LoTR fans. Tell people you've been waiting ten years for it and you'll get some sympathy signatures. :)) Really?? Its that rare?? That kind of sad... :((

Btw, I would love to read the whole trilogy with you :D

But I think you and Rachel are right. It's time for me to read in English so that I can compare it myself. Now, there's one more reason I should read it a chapter a day. To give me time to enjoy it more than when I read in Indonesian, don't you think? :D

@Rachmi There is a prequel to the prequel?? That's conf..."
Actually Silmarillion isn´t a prequel to The Hobbit, it´s a book about the prehistory/history of Middle-Earth, the place where the hobbits, elves, orcs and others live. The Lord of the Rings series tells what happens 60 years after The Hobbit. So if you´re not interested in the history of Middle-Earth and how it was created and who lived there a long time ago, you can skip Silmarillion. But The Hobbit and LotR have many of the same characters etc.

@Grace Awesome. I have been avoiding the movies to because I knew that I wanted to read the books. I am excited to finally get around to them. Hope you can join us. :)

I don't know if I'll be able to start this because I'm really busy. And if I do I might not be able to read a whole chapter a day haha.

That's okay Maddison, I don't think I can do it either since I have problems with my left eye. So I'll read slowly, like really slowly :D

Do you really think GR member want to help me sign a petition? Paranormal, romance and contemporary are popular genre here. But then reading as a hobby or reading for pleasure are still a rare thing here. I rarely saw people read in public places. I just love when I see someone read in public places, because it's so hard to find them.
