I preordered the hardcover of this, and it just got shipped yesterday, but it hasn't come in the mail yet, so I don't think I'll be able to start tomorrow.

I think a big part of it was in Pivot Point, Addie became friends with Trevor first, and Stephanie was jealous. It will be interesting to see what happens when she's friends with Stephanie first. I've finished chapter 10 now. I'm liking this, and I'm enjoying seeing Pivot Point characters again.

Brody (view spoiler)[It's funny how Addie meets Trevor's brother before she meets Trevor in this version. The whole thing with time slowing down and her saving him is pretty interesting. (hide spoiler)]

I finished last night! I loved it! I loved how it switched between Laila and Addison.

I thought it was funny that (view spoiler)[ these kids are stronger with their parabilities than the adults. I can completely understand why Addison's dad left and why Connor wants to. I hope in book three we find out what the CC has mass erased from the community. (hide spoiler)]

I was surprised when Conner was talking about what all parents have erased from their kids. I didn't even think of that, that almost every kid has had some part of their memories erased. What a slippery slope, how d do you justify the things you remove and the things that you allow to stay. yikes, I'm so glad we don't have this. (hide spoiler)]

I believe there is not a 3rd book and that this is a duology.

I just checked Kasie West's website, and it says:
Q: Is Pivot Point a trilogy?
A: No, the series ends with Split Second.

I've read through chapter 25 now. This is a quick read, and I'm having trouble putting it down. I think i'll be finishing this weekend if I have enough time.

Connor (view spoiler)[The banter that he has with Laila is great. They did kiss, but it seems like he annoys her most of the time. It should be interesting to see what happens with their relationship. (hide spoiler)]

Trevor (view spoiler)[I can see why he's suspicious after what he saw. I'm surprised he actually asked Stephanie to the formal since it seems like he definitely doesn't want to get back together with her. (hide spoiler)]

Addie's grandpa (view spoiler)[Her dad should not have kept it a secret that he was alive. And he still hasn't told her, even when she asked about the grave getting moved. I'm surprised that he was actually willing to restore Addie's memories by healing when he remembered the "haunted screams." (hide spoiler)]

Laila's dad (view spoiler)[He shouldn't have stolen her money, but it must be awful to have to hear other people's thoughts all the time. (hide spoiler)]

I just finished this, and I loved it.

Laila and Connor (view spoiler)[These two make a good couple, even though their relationship certainly didn't start off too great. I feel like she really helps him, and he helps her, and they both need and care about each other. (hide spoiler)]

Addie (view spoiler)[It is interesting how she got back all the memories of Trevor that never happened. That affected their relationship since she loved him, and he barely knew her. (hide spoiler)]

Trevor (view spoiler)[I liked how he realized that, since they were together in the future that never happened, he thought that he and Addie could become a couple once he actually got to know her. (hide spoiler)]

Addie's grandpa (view spoiler)[I was surprised that he really wasn't her grandpa at all. I had believed that he was. (hide spoiler)]

Eli (view spoiler)[His whole mind reading thing is interesting. It is also kind of funny when he hears Laila's thoughts about Connor and gets disgusted. (hide spoiler)]
