Immense hype--like Hunger Games/Harry Potter/Twilight hype. It deserves more than 200,000 ratings. LIKE 1 MILLION RATINGS. They're just so good.
I mean it's definitely worth a go because most people love it--for me, the concept is really great and intriguing but the portrayal isn't too great, moreso for the last book.
I believe Sylvia Louise Engdahl's Children of the Star trilogy should be much more recognized for the groundbreaking achievement they were (and continue to be) in the field of YA science fiction. The trilogy is comprised of This Star Shall Abide, Beyond the Tomorrow Mountains and The Doors of the Universe.
The shiver trilogy, well any book by Maggie Stiefvater, her books are just brilliant, they deserve more hype, in my opinion :)
