Komal (k0k0) | 7 comments I've just applied for Librarian Status and when I was notified my request had gone through and will be confirmed using my E-mail address, I realized the e-mail I'd been using is no longer in use (inaccessible to me becaue it's been hacked). Since I'd set Google Chrome to remember my ID and password for this website, it didn't dawn on me to change the e-mail earlier.

Now the request has been sent to my old, unused e-mail ID and because I cannot re-send the request, as Goodreads says I've already applied, I'll never receive the confirmation e-email and be able to become a Librarian.

I've just edited my e-mail to reflect the new one. If any staff incharge can be so helpful as to re-send the confirmation of Librarian Request to my current e-mail, I'd be very thankful.

I want to attain the Librarian Status to be able to add missing information, details and a cover photo to this book I recently came across but found insufficiently recorded on the website.

If and when your librarian request is approved, the email will be sent to the email address linked to your account at that time.

That's what I said and that is the base of the problem: the email address that the request was sent to is invalid. I have just updated my email address to the current, valid one but now I cannot send another Librarian Request. So my request is stuck in an inaccessible email address at the moment and might remain forever unconfirmed (unless a staff member allows another Librarian Request to be redirected to my current email address).

I've just done that and explained my situation to them. I guess I'll have to wait for a lot of time before I receive a response. Until then, is it possible that one of the present Librarians can modify the book details which I wanted to do in the first place?
Also, thank you very much for your help!

Of course, that is what we do. Post the details here. Not becoming a librarian is not a serious problem.

Apologies for all the links. BBC code has always been my weakness.

Nothing was sent to that email address. At the time the request is made, nothing is sent to any email address. If/when the request is approved (which has not happened yet; if it had your profile would show the status of being a Goodreads Librarian), then the confirmation email will be sent to the email that is linked to your account at the time you are approved. Since the email now linked to your account was confirmed yesterday, I'm assuming it is not the one you cannot access.

Komal (k0k0) | 7 comments Oh. That clears the misunderstanding. I was under the impression that the confirmation email needed to be activated of sorts.
There should be no problem then. This is good to know. Thanks a lot!

Judith (jloucks) | 10 comments This is probably the wrong place to ask this, but I have been unable to get goodreads emails since Sept.
When I follow the directions to correct the problem, I can find nothing to correct. My email address is correct at the site and has never changed since I joined. Can someone tell me what to do to resolve the problem?
