SOLVED. Children's-YA // Pure Dead series book #2 [s]

There was a family in the book who lived in a giant mansion with a couple adults (granny/nanny or parents possible more) and kids (siblings) with three pets like an alligator (or dragon) and a couple other big wild pets. The book wasn't very long, I think it would be for about fourth graders to middle schoolers to read. I remember one of the pets joked, talking about turning the alligator/dragon into a purse or maybe boots too?? Towards the end I remember the other pets found out the alligator was a girl the entire story (which really shocked the other wild pets). The cover had the whole family on it with the mansion also on the cover.

Also it wasn't Pure Dead Magic it was Pure Dead Wicked which is the second book of the "Pure Dead" series.

It wasn't Pure Dead Magic it was actually Pure Dead Wicked #2 in the series.
