I'm SO close to finishing my second challenge of finishing a series. I only have 200 pages left ... so hopefully I can finish it in the next two days. Then I can start my buddy read with Lady Poppy. :) :D This is so much fun!

I have to concur - - it is a great way to motivate you to read more, as the challenge brings out competitive spirit as well as a passion for reading a variety of books & genre.

I totally agree! Branching out is always important no matter how scary it is to read something out of ones comfort zone.

I finished Monsters of Men today so 2nd challenge down. :)

I'm currently writing my review on it. ~ Writing reviews has become more and more of a habit nowadays. I always feel like I have to write one after I finish a book.

message 65: by L (new)

L | 1252 comments I enjoy sharing my opinions on what i have read with others who are interested in listning, and writing a review is often fun {especially if the book has consumed me so much that i might burst if i didn't express my enthusiasm for it!}

Elevetha | 384 comments Quick question!

So when you say "Read 1 book in a day (over 150 pages)" , that means that you can start a book at, say, 10 pm on Thursday and as long as you finish it before 10 pm on Friday, it counts? Just a 24 hour thing, right?

Question: If I read two picture books and both fit into the genre of either a Children's book or a Picture book, then could I count each of them for one genre?

For Example if I read two Dr.Seuss books, would I be able to place one of them as my Picture Book Challenge and the other one as my Children's book challenge?

Does that make sense?

Quick Notice!!

I know you guys have all been super-duper busy - either with work, trips away, or the start of the school term - so I'm extending the Read-A-Thon to the 10th of February.

That's 5 extra days!

Hopefully this means we'll be getting more finished checklists sent into me via Goodreads messaging + you guys can relax a little and no freak out over the number of books to finish :)

So keep up the good work guys, and don't forget to send in your finished checklists!! <3

Don't forget that today is the last day of the Read-A-Thon!

Be sure to finish up your checklists as best you can. Even if you didn't complete it fully, you could still be in the running to win some awesome prizes.

I'll be closing checklist entries by the end of tomorrow, so start sending them in to me via GR messaging!

A big thanks to everyone who participated - even if you didn't complete the checklist (e.g. like myself, who still has a few books left to go!) you still managed to make a dent in your reading list and GR reading goal for 2014. You should be very proud of yourselves!!

Looking forward to receiving your checklists!
