Jacob This isn't really about the book's content, it's more about my ability to read it.

I have an incredibly endurance with books, especially Stephen King ones. I read Under the Dome in about a week, and 11/22/63 in about 4 days. I've had It for years, and and I've had to quit repeatedly because the font size on the book I own (Signet reprint mass market paperback) is simply way too small. I get eyestrain after a few pages. I usually struggle on but eventually I have to quit due to headaches. It was the first King novel I ever owned, but I simply can't finish it because of the font. I'd say the same for the Stand. I would be willing to have a copy of the book that is nearly 300 pages longer, as long as I can read it.

I'd personally love it if Simon and Schuster began to do the reprints for these two novels. Pocket Books are so much more readable than Signet.

Do you guys know any easy to read copies of It (or the Stand, for that matter?)

I'm looking at buying one of the original hardcover copies of It on eBay (and the same for The Stand uncut). They sell for $25 or less, which is worth it to me as long as I can read it. Does anyone know anything on this?

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 20 comments Do you have an ereader? If yes, I would suggest an ebook copy. You can adjust the font size on the ereader to whatever size you need.

Jacob I suppose I could do that. I do have a Nook, but I usually prefer to read things in printed form. In this case, I may have to go the eReader route, though.

Jacob Thanks, Jason. I just looked this one up. It looks good! I'll see if I can get my hands on that copy.

Kevin Xu (kxu65) | 219 comments I think the new reprints of The Stand, The Stand by Stephen King in mass paperback is a little bite larger than any of the previous editions.

H Hunt | 98 comments Personally I'm a renaissance chic so I only read hard copies. ( although I'm well aware of all the e-readers can do but I just prefer an actual book ) I've read "IT" over 100 times, around 115 actually so I read books 2 tatters:) My advice 2 u is 2 check out ur local library, they always hav books 4 sale @ a steal as well as having lg printed books 4 ppl with sight probs. These books are usually 4 sale in the lg print as the older books for libes hav more pgs generally. Good luck & let us know if u find what u needed as IT is my favorite King tale & deserves 2b read, I hope all readers tonight are reading a killer tale= ] (I always am)

Jacob Kevin, that actually happens to be the copy I own, and it's a killer on my eyes.

H, I think I may just end up doing that for some of the other King works. It seems that Signet has a large hold over the paperback releases of most of them.

And Jason, I looked and it turns out that Hodder has released a copy of both It and The Stand! I'm looking towards purchasing them both!

My library has a lot of copies of large print books. You may want to check your library and look at the different editions they have there. Maybe you can find one there that has large print or big enough print for you and then decide to buy it or not.
