Alex (view spoiler)[What a rough life, it would be so hard to lose your parents at a young age and then pretend to be a boy and serve in the kings army all to escape the horrible fate you have being a girl and forced into the breeding homes. I feel so bad for her to lose her brother Marcel. Will be interesting to see how things play out now that she is personal guard to the prince, it will be very hard to keep her identity a secret. but why was he taunting her? Why is he being so cruel and insinuating that she wasn't good enough to keep him safe

that was awful what his father did - willing to sacrifice everyone (including is sons and wife) in order to stay the king. awful that he killed his wife in front of his kids. OMG (hide spoiler)]

Alex/Alexa (view spoiler)[ well, I liked her the first half of the book.....I thought she did great being a soldier and trying to blend as a boy
but I thought after everyone said they knew she was a girl....well,it went downhill. :( she just didn't seem to be a soldier anymore and it seemed to be more about love drama.... (hide spoiler)]

That is why I changed my rating to a 3. I really did not like that change from the beginning to the end.
