What's a TBR Pick-It-For-Me Challenge?

Like the name implies, those who participate in this monthly challenge will have a book selected for them by a partner. Partners will be randomly paired up. You will choose a book for your partner from their to read list (TBR), and they will choose one for you from your TBR list.

Once you have picked the book, come back to this thread and post what book you have chose for your partner. Also send a message to the person with the name of the book you have selected for them. Then when you're done with your book, come back to this thread and post your opinion so we know you have completed the challenge.

For this challenge, you need to either HAVE YOUR PROFILE SET TO PUBLIC (preferable) or make the person you're paired with your friend. I strongly advise keeping your bookshelves updated, otherwise you might end up with a recommendation for something that you've already read.

Sign up period will remain open until July 28 and you'll have until August 1st to select a book for your partner.

***Please note***Everything will be done in this thread so check it often. Also, please be sure you really, really want to participate. Once I pair up people, it makes it difficult to re-pair when someone decides not to participate.

Kate (kate_lynne) Hey Mansu,
thanks for the great picks. I kind of want to read both now, but I'll let you know.

Anyways, for you I have picked A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas , Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1) by Stephanie Perkins or The Hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo .
I hope you'll like my picks! Personally I loved Anna & The French Kiss a lot. Just read the first few chapters of A Court of Thorns and Roses, but it got me hooked. :)

Tawallah Siren wrote: "For June I pick Far From the Madding Crowd and/or Around the World in Eighty Days"

Think I'll go far Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne as it is summer and who doesn't love an adventure.

Not sure about the other pick yet. But it is out as a movie. Decisions.

message 29: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Thanks Arena. I think I'll go with Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead . Should be a nice summer read

Sandra | 51 comments I finished We Were Liars. It was very cruel but an excellent read. This was not the fun laidback beach read I thought it would be. It was so much more in depth than tht

I can. The Ring and the Crown (The Ring and the Crown, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, #1) by Douglas Adams.

I liked it, but the narrator's voice for the MC made me a little crazy. Thank you again for the pick.

message 36: by Tawallah (new)

Tawallah Finished my pick -Around the World in Eighty Days. Big thanks to Siren, it turns out to be my favourite book of the month.
