I'm currently writing a short story on Murakami's Hardboiled Wonderland & the End of the World! It's a continuation of the novel, inspired after reading Murakami's spin-off of Kafka's Metamorphosis. (http://www.newyorker.com/fiction/feat...)
*SPOILERS*
Ok, this might not really be a spoiler, but it might spoil the ending for those who haven't read the novel yet. I'm playing with the idea of the protagonist rescuing both himself and the librarian from the End of the World, after he 'abandoned' his shadow at the Pool.
I'm not done writing it yet, but I'll share it here when it is! =)

The book is called RESONANT BLUE. It is listed here on Goodreads, it's on my own book label, and I have just a few copies of the original hardcover book edition left. Otherwise, the e-book edition is easily found in the usual major places for just three bucks, so if you just got a Kindle, iPad, or nook for the holidays... ;)

Here's more info on the book if you are interested. Very excited by this discussion.

I was inspired to write this story after reading Murakami's "Samsa in Love", which is itself a spin-off of Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis". (If you haven't read them both, you should, because they're freaking awesome! =) )
Anyway, I hope that you guys will like my story! Comments and feedback are welcome! =)

My debut novel, 'Yuko Zen Is Somewhere Else', is now out in paperback and on Kindle.
My writing has been deeply influenced by Murakami, as well as by my time living in Asia.
If anyone fancies a read, please feel free to check out my humble scribbles!
