MAXON OR ASPEN ? & WHY?

In the beginning I really liked aspen then when he dumped her got so angry at him I hated him! then at the same time I can see why he did it but still I got mad at him then Maxon ! came a along I think how they met was so adorable !

I'm holding judgement until I read The Guard, but I really don't see Aspen changing my mind from Maxon though.. If anything America isn't good enough for Maxon IMO anyways

i'm definitely team maxon. what i am hoping for though is that when the guard comes out that we get to learn a bit more about him and where he comes from. i wonder if there will be a bit more about his family life back home since we know that he's got a lot of sisters and he's from a lower class. i doubt that it'll make any difference in how much i think that america should choose Maxon, but i've learned that we can't discount the novellas in contributing to the story line.

Even though I would be uncomfortable in the castle and adjusting to his way of life, I would want to be with him because he is dedicated and kind. Aspen seems to be too needy or bipolar in his relationships and I need absolute loyalty if I'm going to be committing 100% to someone.

I liked Aspen..until Maxon came into the picture. The one main thing that makes me not like Aspen is the fact that he knows how dangerous it is for America to see him/cheat on Maxon while shes still in the selection and yet he doesn't care/is willing to risk it. I hope she ends up with Maxon in the end because I think he really does care about her and that they will be happy!!

Why? Because I really really like Maxon and I think he really really likes America. Aspen just hasn't really appealed to me the same way Maxon has. In my mind he's still the ex-boyfriend that America has moved on from. Their relationship is part of the past and now he really seems more like a friend or a source of familiarity in the castle. I don't really see Aspen and America getting back together.

Maxon all the way. I feel like Aspen only likes America for their physical relationship. Also why would Aspen risk America's life for his happiness? Maxon on the other hand is well put together. He likes America for who she is and supports her in most of the things she do.

I liked Aspen right up until he started endangering America by trying to make out with her and sneak around with her in the castle.

Aspen's the one who sent her into the selection, so he should sit and wait patiently until its over to see where she ends up before he starts pursuing her again. I could forgive Aspen for breaking up with America if it weren't for that considering that he did it thinking that it was what was best for America.

I don't like that America is falling back into Aspens arms so easily every time she gets mad at Maxon, but I think I get it. I would be confused too if I were her.

That said, America and Maxon spend so much time discussing business in the 2nd book that I'm not quite sure how they go together. I already have the answer to that question in terms of Aspen and America.

Definitely! He only did the things he did because he was completely wigging out about America, while trying to figure out how to be a good king. Kriss didnt do anything but add to his stress because he cares for her too.
