message 13297: by Janet (new)

Janet Martin (janmaus) | 13 comments So everyone here seems to listen to music--I don't have time, cause there are always books in my ears! Just finished "The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek." This book just made me angry due to the promotion--the fact that it is a middle school aged juvenile, ie young YA, escaped me because that information was way down in the blurbs about this highly touted book. It was supposed to be "humorous," but I found it silly. Edgar Cantero writes similar--and better--stuff. I don't object to reading juvenile books. I've spent years as an elementary school and public library librarian, and quite often enjoy kid stuff. Just warn me up front!
