I am currently re-reading the Matador Series by Steve Perry from the 80's and 90's, have made it to the third volume and and thoroughly enjoying the read...So far these books are as good as I remember them being....

I've always wondered why the film industry has not tapped into Steve Perry and Steven Barnes novels.
The film industry has always been ignorant with regards to real SciFi and Fantasy....and unfortunatly when they do attempt to make a film using solid Scifi or Fantasy writers as the basis for a screenplay, they usually totally fuck things up....look at what they did to Heinlein's Starship Troopers and The Puppet Masters
